I hope my puter gets something to crunch soon. My rac is getting pretty low.

I'm waiting for a parcel from Queensland to arrive. It has a new canopy for my Trex 100 RC helicopter and a device that converts my Iphone or Ipad into a remote controller. I'm hoping I might be able to learn to fly it with the Ipad as I cant quite get the coordination to operate 4 channels with 2 joysticks on the normal radio controller.

I would say Victorville. Been there seen it. Not much to look at really.

Passed through there a few times in the early 1980s, going from San Diego to Edwards AFBn to watch the first Space Shuttle landings.

Yeah, I think the town is older than Vic.

Nope, the wiki says 1962 for incorporation as a city, so I'm older by about 2 years as I was born in July 1960.

The wiki article also says this:
About 1895, the village was named "Victor" for the California Southern Railroad's General Manager Jacob Nash Victor. In 1901, the U.S. Post Office Department changed that name to Victorville to avoid confusion with the town of Victor, Colorado.

So the town has been there since the late 1800s, just not "incorporated" until 1962.

As long as I don't get my G string twisted, I'll be OK ;-)

Well legally it was just another part of the county, no more, no less until 1962, it was not a city or a town until then.

How about Normal Illinois and Oblong Illinois (I have heard about a book titled Normal boy marries Oblong girl and other stories, but I have never actually seen a copy).
