Skunks spray only as a last resort. Skunks are also pretty dumb. It takes a lot of noise before they even notice you, much less consider you to be a threat. I dance with skunks all the time... never been sprayed... never gonna get sprayed.

If anyone saw the Mythbusters episode where they were investigating "skunk smell cleaning" myths you will know they failed to even get caged skunks to spray them and had to resort to "bottled" skunk!!

Male skunks will spray each other when they are feeling territorial in the spring. Dogs are commonly sprayed because they chase and corner skunks. Baby raccoons sometimes get sprayed because they lack impulse control and do stupid things to skunks.

Our outside cat has never been skunked. No adult raccoon I've ever encountered has ever been skunked. I only know one person who has been personally skunked. A skunk wandered into the kitchen of one of our friends. She panicked and tried to scare it outside by yelling, banging on pots and trying to shoo the poor confused thing out the door. That was a huge mistake. If she had just left the kitchen door open and backed away, Mr. Skunk would have eventually left without incident.

Yep, agreed.

Japan's post-quake tsunami warning lifted
This link above has a video on it from another story that plays for a few seconds...

The 7.3 quake hit the same region ravaged by last year's major quake. Little damage is reported, but coastal areas are evacuated. After two hours, the tsunami warning ends.

Good thing it didn't affect Fukushima this time. I read they did have to evacuate there though.

Well actually the quake was on the same coast, just not nearly as big. The ring of fire was a bit less violent this time.

That ring is shaped sort of like a horse shoe and its ends point down, not up, so catching good luck is rather hard to dew...
