Gravel is better than a lawn, it never needs water or fertilizer or mowing, it might need weeding if not done properly and it will not care if it's hot or cold outside, Gravel is good...

I hated mowing the lawn too, but I was always proud to have done a good job when I was done, I stopped bagging the lawn clippings after a bit as I didn't want to haul the bags to curb anymore, after that I mulched the Saint Augustine lawn that I had, of course I used an electric lawn mower which helped make mowing a little easier, even if I did have to mind where the danged heavy duty 12 gauge 115vac 3 prong extension cord was at, now I'd do like My sister in law does, She uses a rechargeable electric mower, that would be ideal, cleaning up the sidewalks would still require a cord for the blower I think, but at least the cord and blower could stay together.

I also have an electric one. That extension cord is such a fuss. I once rode over it with the mower and it broke. There was an electricity blackout in the whole house!

Been there, done that once and I repaired the cord Myself too, it just needed a new plug on both ends where the cord was cut, I still have the short section, when I moved out here the relatives gave away all the stuff that I hadn't come back for as My car broke down and the phone wasn't going to be on for about 2 weeks, there went My mower and the cords... I'm still wanting get a house again, but so far I have a few other things to get done before I can do that as I don't have enough income for both at once...

I know what you mean, Victor. Since we've lost my husband's income I also don't have enough to rent or buy a new place.
