Sitting empty, if I read status page correctly, there is work and the splitters are splitting. Plenty of work is available. Is BOINC asking for work? If it is, what responses are you getting? What are your settings in BOINC's computing preferences for Minimum work buffer and Max additional? ____________ Another Fred Support SETI@home when you search the Web with GoodSearch or shop online with GoodShop.

Communication keeps deferring, I have max and min buffer set to 10 days.

Is it asking on a regular basis? If your Maximum additional setting in BOINC is high, you can run out. Use something like .01 for that second cache setting.

Sitting empty, if I read status page correctly, there is work and the splitters are splitting. There's been plenty of work available, just looking at the Number of VLARs my i7-2600K has picked up for the CPU, I had a look at Gonad the Destroyer®©™ ATI host, he has received Wu's overnight, but lokking at his last 620 tasks he hasn't received one single VLAR, i wonder if VLARs are not getting sent to ATI GPUs now too, Claggy

I am getting the 'no work' on all 3 of my systems. I am back after taking about a year off of crunching (the program was just not stable, but a lot better now.) The systems all picked up a nice chunck of work to start with, then received work for the next few days, then nothing. My one system just ripped through the cuda units and now is empty. My prefs have check marks by all 4 programs for work.

There seems to be a problem at the server end, you can get work but is is sparse and slow going.

Interesting, one of my crunchers is doing quite well on reporting and getting new work, but the other is "being a pain".

Interesting, one of my crunchers is doing quite well on reporting and getting new work, but the other is "being a pain". It could be some moral issue going on. Being faithful to your true love gives you some benefits, compared to cheating.....:-) /me ducks and fades away into the shadows again. ____________ /The grumpy old Swede. I'm not getting any for one of mine. No backlog of work. This is the one cruncher that is totally dedicated to Seti 24/7 , so I'm a bit annoyed. This is how I got hooked up with Seti, bringing an old retired PC back to life. I haven't put to much $$$$ into it yet but enough. I like the project, but sometimes I spend way to much time trying to get it to crunch. I have found that at times it takes seti@home quite awhile to make changes. It is a hobby, so I don't mind must of the time but I would like to keep this pc busy.

My SETI work load on my main system has been going down steadily for almost the last month. Now part of that is due to the addition of 6 addition projects and I fully expected a credit average drop but I weighted the SETI resource share 70-30 in favor of SETI WU's. I was getting Astropulse's but those take a long time and frankly the credit return on time spent is disproportionate to the CPU time spent compared for doing 6.03, 6.08 or 6.09 computations. But as of the last 24 hours for the first time in I dont remember how long I'm done to (3) SETI Astropulse's, no other SETI running apps, no WU's in the queue and the other (4) CPU slots split between Cosmology, and Einstein. Now Einstein has 6 WU in the back queue but normally I have over 200 items in the queue pending and I've had as many as 300 WU's in the Queue.

Stepped up my buffer of units so this will not happen again. ____________

None here either. I'm shutting down instead of wasting money on electricity. been Idle for 20 hours out of 24. I've got better things to do, than wasting my time on this only to find out (probably) that the problem is not at this end. Very frustrating.
