I could not get this add on to work. It was not recognizing the programdata\boinc sub folder for the current version. And it was not letting me change the folder selection. I finally figured out that programdata was a hidden subfolder so it was not seeing it. I changed the properties and reinstalled LogX. I was able to select the proper folder but now when I turn my computer on LogX reverts back to the wrong folder and I have to uninstall/reinstall LogX to get it back onto the programdata subfolder.

Any fixes for this non-sense?

This is a third party program. You might be better off finding a forum specific to the program.

Why "non-sense"?
It is simple - the program is old and not designed for Vista/7 (but it can work on them)

The program writes its BoincLogX.ini file and logs folder in its install directory! (as many old programs).

The solution - just NOT install in C:\Program Files\
(C:\Program Files\ is write-protected directory on Vista/7)

Make (manually) e.g.:
C:\Programs.XP

... and install old programs there.
