I did the ping. Asked for username and password.
Said already attached to this project. I'm such a dumb ass :-(

?

Open a DOS box (Start -> run -> type "cmd" without the quotes.)
Type "ping setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu" without the quotes.
What are the results?
Type "ping boinc.ssl.berkeley.edu" again without the quotes.
What are the results?

What I indicated to do is merely diagnostics, not a fix.

If "It worked" then something self-fixed the problem (e.g. Restart of Windows or the Router)
ping can't fix it.

(e.g.
-- My computer do not start when I press the ON button, help!
-- Do you have electricity? Try to light your room lamp/lights.
-- The lamp switch do not work .... Oh wait it works now, the lamp now is OK and it fixed my computer, thanks ;)
)

All -

I have not gotten any tasks for SETI@home since the server power anomaly in mid August. I am able to ping the SETI server (26 - 29 ms response time). I've appended my event log below. I've been running for at least a couple of weeks with no tasks run. I'm running Boinc 7.0.28 on a dual core AMD with Windows 7 (Home Premium 32-bit) and an ATI Radeon 6570 video card. Are there any suggestions on how I can get SETI@home tasks restarted?

It looks like you have 2 different problems.

1 is the fact that you do not have OpenCL installed correctly on that system.
Try download and installing this and then restart BOINC.

http://developer.amd.com/Downloads/AMD-APP-SDK-v2.7-Windows-32.exe

2 is the suspend BOINC if CPU load exceeds 25%, we advise that the minimum should be at least 50% and most of us turn it off completely.

Arkayn -

Thanks for the help. Sorry for the delay in responding.

Per your suggestion I loaded the GPU OPENCL software (that you linked) and upped my cpu to 50%. That didn't seem to change things. I reset and restarted BOINC and that caused some files to be downloaded and installed but no tasks. I uninstalled and reinstalled BOINC and went through retrieving the new files per above. Still no tasks. Below is my event log:

In addition, I notice that you are having trouble with downloading the PNG files. You might want to allow image files with check sup errors to be accepted. Some ISPs re-compress image files to save bandwidth. This means that they have a different checksum, but they will display OK.
