	Hi all, I'm a new user to SETI@Home, and Boinc in general. So Im still on the learning curve. The program was running perfectly until a few days ago, during the powerdown, my computer stopped receiving new tasks or being able to send the tasks it had worked on. Which makes sense to me. Now since the server powerdown is over, it has sent the completed tasks, and does not get any work in the mean time. I have tried updating several times, and one time I got a single task in return to work on. I have tried resetting the project but that never worked. I have also tried deleting and re-adding the project but that hasn't worked either. This whole time my rosetta program has run fine the entire time. I was hoping someone could help me figure out a solution. The time I did get a project it reported: 8/17/2012 11:25:07 AM \| SETI@home \| update requested by user 8/17/2012 11:25:11 AM \| SETI@home \| Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. 8/17/2012 11:25:11 AM \| SETI@home \| Reporting 1 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for CPU 8/17/2012 11:25:16 AM \| SETI@home \| Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 8/17/2012 11:25:16 AM \| SETI@home \| Project has no tasks available The rest of the time I try updating I get: 8/17/2012 11:45:35 AM \| SETI@home \| update requested by user 8/17/2012 11:45:39 AM \| SETI@home \| Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. 8/17/2012 11:45:39 AM \| SETI@home \| Not reporting or requesting tasks 8/17/2012 11:45:46 AM \| SETI@home \| Scheduler request completed If someone can explain what I need to do or help me with this proces it would be greatly appreciated. 	As with any outage for SETI@Home, as soon as the systems come back up, the servers are inundated with over 500,000 clients trying to return work and request more. You are not doing anything wrong on your end; you simply need more patience! :-D

	How long does it take to even out and "go back to normal"? Thanks As long as the splitters have work, and there are no other server problems, things should be normal now. Still, there are thousands of computers requesting work, and only 100 workunits available at any particular moment, so it's always a bit of a crapshoot. That being said, I've received close to 4000 new workunits on my three rigs over the last 48 hours. You should also check your settings given that you're using version 7.xx of BOINC. The proper setup for cache building changed dramatically from v6.xx to v7.xx ____________

	8/17/2012 11:45:39 AM \| SETI@home \| Not reporting or requesting tasks This means that the client has no tasks to report from S@H, and has enough work in the queue from other projects (Rosetta in your case) that it does not need any tasks from S@H at the moment or it means that S@H has gotten more than its share of recent work. I believe that the second is not the case here. Once some of these have been worked through, it will ask for work from S@H in preference to Rosetta for a time to make up the some of the time that S@H has not had work. ____________ BOINC WIKI
