Message 1271820 - Posted: 17 Aug 2012, 2:19:44 UTC - in response to Message 1271781.

This story might not have made it over the pond...but many years ago, two evil human beings going under the names of Myra Hindley and Ian Brady tortured and murdered five children in the 60's. Both were found guilty and imprisoned for their crimes, but for one family, their nightmare has continued, until today...

I really hope that the family of Keith Bennett can now find peace.

Peace at last?

I certainly hope so.

I would hope Bradey's letter speaks the truth, and Saddle Worth Moor can be explored, then once, and finally, be returned to peace and closure on this aspect.

I don't know if there is ever real closure after such a loss, but hopefully it will ease Keith's mother's final years.

Listening to the radio news today it progressed from a fairly hopeful situation as I drove into work (before the 7am news) to somewhat cloudy by mid morning - there was some doubt about the veracity of the letter - to positivly cloudy as I drove home (it is POETS Day...) with the "mental health advocate" being arrested/detained on suspicion of preventing a body being buried.

Brady was renowned for his mind games, and had a hold here to play them. I am sorry that this last one took it to the edge and beyond.

Police were stupid to fall for it, especially in the arrest where the woman had nothing to do with concealing a body from burial.
