FYI

For anyone that uses Hotmail & switches over to Outlook.com

Don't forget to change your addy for all your projects.

Outlook.com looks & works a lot better than hotmail (so far).

I stupidly clicked on that link (which I have removed for this post) now my "hotmail" defaults to "outlook" which I hate! How do I go back to the much superior "Hotmail"

Note to myself, never click on a link before examining it!!!

Phew there is a setting to "revert" but you do have to look for it

Another reason to want out of Microsoft's empire, why did it not ask before automatically setting my account to the new Outlook

As far as I know, the ****@hotmail.com address will continue to work even after they switched to Outlook.com
There's no need to re-register or to change your email address.

My post was in answer to Sirius' Don't forget to change your addy for all your projects, which isn't necessary. Compare it to Seti getting a new frontpage, and forum layout. That doesn't change anything for you either. Here it's just the look that changes, while the Hotmail link will probably forward to the Outlook.com page.

Typing and eating ice cream at the same time, it's a challenge. :-)

in that case, somethings wrong as soon as I changed addy over, the account settings returned to the previous settings & not the one I had set.
