your BOINC Stats table ...

Also note that BOINCstats (and other stats sites) are not connected/associated with BOINC or SETI, they are created and run by independent third-party.

E.g. for BOINCstats:

(If on TV you see some table of sport events this does not mean that the television company organizes or manages those sport events)

When will the Nvidia Apps. be ready to download for Astropulse???
I'm running Seti version 6.10.6 and use an EVGA 570 that currently runs 2 apps at a time.
Any ideas??

Thanks
Chuck

Hi Chuck,

You're actually using BOINC v6.10.6 and you're using the optimized SETI@Home applications. Normally you would automatically receive any applications released by the project, but since you are using the Anonymous platform (the only mechanism in place to allow you to use third-party apps), you won't receive the updated app automatically.

So you would either need to switch back to the stock applications, or you would need to check with the third-party app developers to ask when they will be releasing an AstroPulse application that's compatible with nVidia chips.

Oops, that'll teach me to increase my reading comprehension.

However, to date I've not seen any nVidia AP WUs come down, just ATI. Also, from what I've read... windows only still, right? That is unless I install Lunatics on OSX and Linux systems?

Perhaps you should watch for WUs better too ;)
Both ATi and NV, read thread from beginning.
And yes, only for Windows.

Yeah!

I was like wtf is this ?
Got my nasty little nvidia 520 crunching fer ya.
And wots this. New and all?

Thing is... Cant smack another gpu in my home server.
And server at werk is so retarded it cant handle a single slot
gpu with my database running. So, shes running without gpu.

It demands two slot alteast. And Ive got a raid covering that
slot. I guess we have to wait for one slot cooler.
Yeah, and my home server too. I'll wait fer a single slot
to give some more to seti.

Passive one we want. Fer seti.
Not a wide one, like two whole slots.

Them shes cant take all you know.

(laugh. Im joking too.)

Updated AMD driver on one of my newer office computers so I could get it working on WUs the GPU could help with.
Upon reboot of system and BOINC, I got the blue screen of death.
A file by the name of, approximately, atiok3x2.dll was trying to write to rom, and it was stopped.
Before I complain to IT, any thoughts from the BOINC side?
(Yes, the provost knows I run the program. There will be no NEZ type stuff here.)

All AMD Catalyst starting from 12.10 are broken in term of usage with SETI OpenCL apps (at least with OpenCL MB app). And 13.2 beta 3 known to be unable to compile CL files for both apps at all.
So, better to stay with Cat 12.1 or 12.8.

OK, my action was prompted by a notice in BOINC manager, so I went directly to the AMD website and used their auto-detect to see what system I have and let it auto-decide what driver I needed.
So, between classes, or just after the last class of the afternoon, I will have to check what driver it gave me. I think I might find this fairly easily, but, just in case, can you or someone else indicate where to look for what driver it installed?

Fire up Catalyst Control Centre from the Task Bar, then go to Information, then Software, it should then give you a Catalyst version.

If you want to revert to an earlier driver, Uninstall the Catalyst driver, reboot, then Use the AMD Catalyst Uninstall utility (only for Windows 7 at the moment), reboot, then install the older driver,
(The Catalyst driver Installer/uninstaller doesn't remove all the files from System32 and SysWOW64 directories, and earlier driver Installers won't overwrite later APP runtimes)
