How can I increase the data rate? I have 16 000 kb / s over a cable mode, unfortunately I get currently a max rate 15-20 kb / s as I improve it?

There is nothing you can do on your end. The slow-down comes from SETI's servers being pounded for work by so many clients. Patience is the only answer.

Kick everyone else off the server or spend a couple of thousands of dollars to give Seti their own private 1Gbit connection instead of the present 100Mbit they can leech off the Space Lab's 1Gbit connection.

It'll only be of interest for the Astropulse (AP) tasks, as they're 8MB a piece. So when you're downloading two of them, this can theoretically already block the 100Mbit connection for everyone else downloading work at that time (2 * 8MB * 8bit = 128Mbit which is more than the 100Mbit Seti has).

Seti Enhanced tasks are only 365KB big, so you don't spend waiting as much time as with APs. Unless you're forcing BOINC to download 22 of them at the same time of course... ;-)
