if i change my operating system, what will happen with my Seti@home?

Depends on what you are on now and what you change to.

If some form of Windows to another form of Windows, nothing needs to happen to Seti. You can backup your BOINC Data directory, put the new OS on, move the data directory back, install BOINC and continue where you left off.

If some form of Windows to some form of Linux, you can't continue with present work as Linux uses different binaries. Your computer will also get a new hostID, so any work registered to it under the Windows hostID will no longer work.

The credits you have earned will remain with you, provided you "create" the new computer using the same email address as you are currently using.
