I know this question has been asked a number of times, I have seen it, but I can't find it with a search. I have 3 video cards in one computer now and can only get the optimized apps to use 1. What is the key I have to alter or add to get it to use all 3. I thought it was something like use_gpus all or something like that. TIA |

From the Boinc Wiki: Client configuration <cc_config> <options> <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> </options> </cc_config> Claggy |

From the Boinc Wiki: Client configuration Thanks Claggy, I hate it when you do a reinstall and think you have everything backed up you need. |

I have one GPU and it overheats. How can I tell BOINC to use NO GPU's? The easy way is go to your preferences and disable the GPU use. There are few others ways. |

I have one GPU and it overheats. How can I tell BOINC to use NO GPU's? same file as for all gpus, other option: <cc_config> <options> <no_gpus>1</no_gpus> </options> </cc_config> NB the file should be called cc_config.xml and sit in the BOINC data directory (together with client_state.xml). When using notepad make sure you select 'all files' when saving else you'll get a .txt appended and it won't work. You can also use TThrottle To run the GPU temperature controlled. I'm not the Pope.
