Absolutely shocking. Personally, I think that all schools should be totally locked down & secure - before any politico pops up & states that it will be too costly, just think on this: -

with all $$$ wasted on campaign elections, all the $$$ not paid due to tax evasion/avoidance, all the $$$$ wasted on military expenditure....

..children should be protected 100% for the simple reason is that they are the future!

<RANT> I just had a chance to sit down at work and catch up on some news when I read about what had happened in Conn. This morning and my heart goes out to those kids. And after further reading, I came across this story as well. It happened today, but across the globe in China. Man with slashes 22 kids in elementary school. I haven't heard a single thing about this, in fact it was reported by an obscure eatern US newspaper, not CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, BBC, or Fox.

This isn't a gun issue, or a knife issue or a frakking stick issue for that matter. This is clearly a PEOPLE issue. I've scanned the posts on this thread and have seen nothing but bickering about the same moot points. People kill people, folks. I have yet to see a knife or a gun jump up and kill anything much less move unless in the hands of a person. You can argue that if there weren't any guns, there'd be less murder. WRONG! Humans, if anything else are masters at killing things in one way or another. </RANT>
