There are a lot of people who don't understand money. Everything described is 100% legal. Two items not mentioned are a trade lockout date for insiders, meaning an insider can't sell his stake until X days past the IPO and the mandatory SEC form for any over 5% owner to file for any trade. These items have no bearing on how much you can sock away in a Roth, tax free, by having pre-IPO shares in your Roth. Oh and moving shares from your name into your Roth's name is not a trade. If you go through cash then it is a trade and also a "wash sale."

Last time I checked NYS is holding up pretty well. None of the reform that happened here in the NINETIES has had any negative effects besides some added taxes. (Reforms that mirror the current reforms the Dems are pushing at the federal level)

Like all presidential candidates, it has been a tradition, to release tax information and income by law, but not all old tax information. However all candidates have released their tax returns that go back five to ten years. Of course both sides are going to look for and use any major problems. However since the Mitt talks about his great investments, as Mister business he is subject to closer observation, and questions, especially his taxes. If any were paid or at what percentage rate did he pay? This would be ok if he took deductions and credits However that would be talking out of both side of his mouth from his previous campaign speeches? What about investing in America, not hiding money in the Caman Islands, or Swiss bank accounts with hidden money so not to be taxed on. If you read the statements he has issued he is talking again out of both sides of his mouth. He is not known as Mister Flip, Flop for nothing. He has this problem going back to the time he was first running for other offices. This issue came up during the debates from his party candidates. He is a very poor candidate for the republican conservative base (and the TeaPots who do not like him at all) to run. However the Republican Party hates the president even more, and will mostly eather sit this election out or stand with the Mitt. Mitt could clear this all up like his father did or any other candidates did by just releasing them and moving on. Even if there is anything that can be used Mitt can get by it if it is not illegal, but once again he talks out of both sides of his mouth. Most members of his party have told him to release at least five to ten years of tax information. There is now the speculation, which he paid no taxes at all, two years ago, which means he is once again talking through both side of his mouth. this is all he does he changes his direction to whatever is popular at the time for the given area he is at. Even if the econommony does not inprove 8.2 percent and does not get worse more then 8.5 percent unemployment, the presiden will win by at least 285-320 electoral votes and about a 2 to 2.5 percent on popular vote. Lets see if I am correct.
