Beets: I had tried to pass on the win as I was busy yesterday. I never PMed anyone, and I see the thread is sitting idly by. Should I go ahead and post a pic as I am around, or should I just wait.

I thought it was "WORD" link, single linked words. I may be wrong as I have never seen the "rules". However it is really not a challenge to post more than one word.

Looking glass tree, should have been just Tree, that would have got people thinking and is exactly the point of the game.

Good point Bernie. The intention is to post only one word.

What is a word? An entry in the dictionary?

OK could I ask for a cease fire here, I actually like to check this thread for any intelligent comments/discussions about cafe games.

Having to sort through 15+ post of rubbish does not fill me with joy.

Could you not start a separate thread for this?

Any word that comes out of the dictionary will do I guess.

Julie, a link is just that, one word. It seems, we have a new game, multiwords, but UK in nature.
Other wise enlighten us!

I don't mind if we use more than one word in the Word Link. I always thought we were supposed to use one word only.

Yes but it's more of a challenge.

For instance, Silent Films, as it was proceeded by Chaplin, either silent or films could have been used, both is overkill. IMHO.

I think he is trying to get his own back for his not understanding the finer points of the game.

Op or not the game has a historical rule--one word only. Players should respect the rule

Honestly what ever the OP aka Julie says is the rule is how I will play, I like others especially in this group are well capable of thinking of one or two words in reaction to one or two words... HAHA OP, you have my support name the game and I will play.

On a separate note, I took Dave's invitation and re-started the TV Trivia thread.

Yessss
Word link seems to hum along.
I am with John, MC seems to be a London thing. I sort of get it, but some rules escape me.
