Do we wait a bit longer in the Beet's thread for Steven to get back? It's been 4 days now.

bread re-slicer? I would have never gotten that one. Current one has me stumped too. Wonder if I could try one for auto parts? More a guy thing. Still I wonder who would be better at it. |

Not so bad. Ask anyone who lived through the depression. A way to save money.

I think a parts thread would be fun. I probably would not know any of the answers, but I might amuse some of you with my really, really, really bad guesses. |

We know Ian has health issues so there is no fault. I hope he is on the mend now.
I think it is time for the mods to start the ball rolling again. They could either do a reverse image search and see if the right answer has been posted or pick a new photo.

I think I was one of the first to generally describe it, and Angela came up with the camp fire use. We used ours over an open coal fire in the kitchen. The confusion has arisen not because of how it is used, but for slightly different purposes in the UK and the States. |

Yes, that's whey I quoted you and said I wish I had posted sooner. I thought you got it right. He gave the win to me because I posted several potential uses and a picture of almost the same one he showed.
At first I was not certain if He gave the win to you or me. But he sent me a PM giving it to me.
Now you point out that a Mezzaluna is a Pizza cutter. Same problem. I had said no to Angela but you in listing it's other uses wins. So take it away. |
