What's an OP?

Yeppers Original Poster so you are the "Queen" of the thread. So what you say goes. ;)

OP = Original Poster - the person who started the thread

Thanx Rob. What I also didn't know is that the OP gets to make the rules.

Not so much "make rules" as indicates how the existing rules are to be applied, or minor modifications to suit the way the game develops.

That is, if the "OP" started the initial game, not necessarily the continuation. Ahh your making me over think things... GAME ON :)

To me the OP is the current owner of the thread. Now if the "original owner" has some input, it can be hashed out here, or PM and as a last resort, the red x route.
Let's play.

I notice we are getting close to the end of the extended counting pictures thread. We extended it once and we seem to have run out of a large number of different subjects to pick from.

Do you want to let it die for a while? Do you want to start with one again? Do you want to put a theme for the pictures, e.g. transportation or electronic parts? Do you want to go to 10,000 again or something shorter like 5000? Or maybe do do something like 1000 to 3000? (Do a bit of searching to be sure there are pictures with numbers for what you propose though.)

While I kind of enjoy the rail fan pictures, perhaps that might be its own thread. Or even a pretty landscape thread, which might be of more general interest. (We used to have a big picture thread.)

Stuff to think about. No rush we still have a few hundred to go and not that many posting any more.

(A newbies input) I think we should limit what kind of pictures are allowed, that will make it 100x more difficult. But it is what it is. I think its just something to do, Victor and I often pass back and forth comments about the pictures above the pic, which I find to be fun... So its not just the posting of the pictures I enjoy.

Gary, all I can say is thank you for this thread. You have given us a venue to hash out issues.

I have stopped posting recently for other reasons. I enjoy this thread and think when it reaches its current goal it could return to "1" as it is a while since its been there.

As to the picture content, perhaps a rule that if the last post was a car number plate - knitting pattern - lego or whatever, the the next picture should be different, something I try to do anyway.

Just some thoughts

That's what I have been trying to do. I try to find something as opposite as possible to entertain myself.

^^^ (Pictures, count to xxxxx) But the legos I personally love.

Legos are awesome. And it was very nice seeing which random set any given number correlated to.

Yes they are awesome. I have buckets around here.
Sigh, Brad wasn't the answer James was looking for. Per the rules, I googled it after the post.

I wasn't suggesting banning Lego sets, just not consecutive pictures, it's more of a challenge if you can't post the same thing post after post.

As I have said just my suggestions.
