I've used Linux before...Windows is much easier.

I can agree at times. It all comes down to the task at hand. Installing certain rare/poorly supported software can be a real chore.

I had a lot of problems installing Boinc on it.

Don't get me started on Ubuntu's handling of the Boinc package... <grumble>

The Debian team does great things with Boinc and even works their code into Boinc here and there.

The Ubuntu people who package and release Boinc in the repositories for Ubuntu, that's another story... ;-) (there is a relatively simple fix or two currently)
