Since when do we code for one Setizen only, well maybe two or three.

The buttons at the top, and bottom, of the page for me are "Post to thread"
Post to thread loads the whole thread to read while typing.
Reply & Quote load only the message to which they are associated. Which I imagine is much faster as it isn't loading the whole thread.

I don't have that problem. It loads the same. That is very slow (old computer here)

Good point. The thread I had selected to verify how I though it worked was only 1 page.

Vic is right, if you press reply/quote you can only see the post you are replying to. If you press post, you get all the posts in the thread.

If you post to the thread, you see N posts where N is the number you selected for page size.

If you quote or reply to a post, you see just the single post you are replying to.

I just get the one message I am replying or quoting when I press those buttons. If it is a setting I don't have it. :(

There is another strange thing visible straight before your eyes.

If you look at one the previous posts, I says Message XXXXX - - Posted: 27 Jul 2012 | XX:XX:XX UTC (- in response to Message YYYYY).

And put your mouse about the document icon, which could show up in a yellowish color. It says "you haven't read this message yet".

Of course, I can click on the web-link for the message and read it individually. But what is the point doing such a thing? The message has been posted in the thread you are visiting and therefore you are supposed to be reading the message when visiting the thread.

My guess is this is something that was originally inherited from before the time of the web, when these message boards were kind of bulletin boards, possibly readable or accessible by some other type of newsreader software.

And now after posting this message, this document icon is gone, it is not visible in the thread anymore.

If I click "reply" or "quote" all I see is the single post. If I click "post to thread" I see all of them.
