I have few WU's with '11 (0xb) Unknown error number' error

Example WU http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=2515302675

This is Linux Mint 13 64bit, Boinc 7.0.28 downloaded directly from Berkeley and Lunatics AP and Cuda MB apps.

Any ideas what's wrong?

No idea, but you only have 4 errors, and over 400 valids, so I wouldn't worry about one or two errors here and there. <1% error rate is nothing to worry about.

BTW, nice to see another Linux user around here, especially a user running Cuda tasks. Nice

I'm glad I double checked this.

Perhaps you do have an issue worth figuring out.

The work-units that errored are CPU units. I also see that you have not had a valid CPU work unit yet.

I'm watching this task to see if it ends with the same fate

So, there is something wrong with the CPU tasks running. This could be due to your appinfo.xml file, or maybe the optimized app you are using.

We need details.

1. Which optimized ap are you using for your CPU?

2. post here
a) the first 30 lines from your event log at startup
b) do a "cat /proc/cpuinfo" and post the output (If you have many cores, just the first 2 repeating sections of the output is fine, what I'm looking for in this info is the instruction sets your processor supports, the "flags" section of this output)

someone else will have to ask/answer about your app_info.xml, as I'm not too familiar thanks to crunch3ers packages.

We do have optimized apps for Multibeam and Astropulse.

Thanks!

Is it safe to change app in the middle of WU?

You can, but I usually wait until they finish.

I think I updated all of those app_info.xml files to make certain that they had a 528 section as well, but make certain first or all of the files will have to be reissued.
