my computer isn't running the program

Hi am Jazzy, i recently installed the seti program to my lap top and for some odd reason it wont run it properly..something about the computer high usage? can anyone please help me?

If you see "CPU usage is too high" go to your Computing preferences:
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/prefs.php?subset=global

And change this to 0 (zero):
"Suspend work when non-BOINC CPU usage is above" --- %

(by default the value is 25 %)

Please be more specific about the symptoms.

Are there any error messages?
If you switch to the advanced view, can you see anything on the projects tab? The Tasks tab? The transfers tab?

Can you see anything on the messages dialog?

And besides, if I read his post correctly, he's answering the OP. As he has just copied the thread title and then added the 'advice' to try reinstalling. ;-)

Real is just a matter of perception.

Until very recently, my SETI-BOINC interface which I have set as my screen saver has worked flawlessly. However lately, I find the computer sitting with a gray screen with no activity. When I go to my Preferences to check my screen saver and select to run it as a test, it says that SETI BOINC is not functioning. My question is this: has SETI gone off the air for some reason or has it suffered some sort of catastophic failure that prevents it from functioning. I have been a SETI user for many years and this is the first time anything such as this has happened. Thanks for your assistance.
