Pose a question for which you recently learned the answer. First person to get the answer right gets to pose the next question. Please try to make them answerable by everyone. I will start: I learned that there is a place you can put a single finger to stop someone that is walking toward you. Where do you put a single finger on the person that is walking towards you such that they cannot walk towards you anymore? BOINC WIKI |

The trigger of your .45 semiauto. And a single finger? Guess that rules out Pai Mei's five point palm exploding heart technique. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Ok, I'm going to toss in a wild guess. Is there some fancy kung fu way of pressing on one of the laryngeal cartilages or perhaps on the hyoid bone that somehow pinches the vagal nerve and affects one's heartbeat? |

The trigger of your .45 semiauto. Yes, it does. Single finger. BOINC WIKI |

The trigger of your .45 semiauto. And I suppose the one I should tend to proffer would not stop anybody...LOL. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

It does not affect heartbeat. Left nostril was closer than larynx or hyphoid. No, it does not affect the vagal nerve. It does not incapacitate. It merely prevents them from walking any closer. Where do you put a single finger on the person that is walking towards you such that they cannot walk towards you anymore? On the "close doors" button of the elevator? LOL... If it is in the body of the other person I'll choose the gap between the nose and the upper lip (I think it's called philtrum...) |

Yes, it is on the body of the other person. Yes, it is on the gap between the nose and upper lip. Curl your index finger and get the rest of the fingers out of the way. Place between the upper lip and nose of the person walking towards you. Hold your arm, wrist, and finger stiff. They will not be able to continue walking toward you. HOWEVER, they can still do a lot of damage to you from just past the reach of your arm. BOINC WIKI |

Hyoid bone? aka the little ridge in the front of the neck. No, and late. We already have a winner. BOINC WIKI |

Hyoid bone? aka the little ridge in the front of the neck. I still think that Pai Mei's five point palm exploding heart technique is still a winner. If it does not fit the 'single finger theory', at least it is empty hand. But, your game, of course. LOL. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

If it is in the body of the other person I'll choose the gap between the nose and the upper lip (I think it's called philtrum...) This means I won?... and then should I post a new question? (and this is not THE QUESTION! LOL) |

Ok. got the PM, so that answered my previous post... This is what Ive learned: There is a technology (or method to achieve a specif goal) on StartTrek that was always been considered as impossible from a conceptual physics point of view. But it turns that in fact its not impossible. Im talking about something that was seen as a gross error, and not something not practical or too costly or just a plot necessity... (Most technologies on ST were always conceptually correct, just still not possible due to lack of the right tools or in some cases based on theories still not prooven. This one was based on a very simple concept that we all know) So the question is, what technology used on StartTrek has been discovered to be correct even when it does something incredible? |

I love this new game!!!!!!!! Ok, Eric says it can't be the transporter because only half your particles would be transported at once. I really wish it could be WARP speed, but I think that is unlikely. My guess is something from the Sick Bay... apply the Cortical Stimulators!!!!!! |
