Cannot get BOINC to connect in Win Vista non-admin user account

Hello all,

I have done some looking but I can't seem to see this question addressed directly. I have a Windows Vista desktop machine running Boinc v7.0.25. When I log in as myself (i.e. the admin account) BOINC connects appropriately and the screensaver runs just as it should, etc. No issues.

But when my wife logs in (she is not an admin user), then BOINC manager runs but does not connect. The BOINC manager icon in the bottom right gives me a "connection error" when I hover over it. When I try to open up the manager GUI and the click on "select computer" and enter "localhost" for the host name, it spins its wheels for a while and then gives me an error message. Logged in as the admin user, I have already added my wife's login to all 3 BOINC User Groups but it still doesn't seem to connect when she's logged in.

Or better yet, update to BOINC 7.0.28, now recommended, which has this problem fixed in its installer (as long as you check "Allow all users on this computer to control BOINC").
