@Grant RAC going down, but my pendings are more than double what they usually are so... Nothing amiss with the validators that I can see. Probably more of a problem with some folks having difficulty reporting their work, so pendings for those who can report go up. Current server status shows only 31 WUs awaiting validation. Guys From servers page: Results returned and awaiting validation 4,800,701 Just look now and I have more than 12196 pending WU (yesterday was 11k) and rissing against 4K validated (3x). The pendigs starts abnormaly rissing after the vlar bug apears. No vlars/GPUs WU remains on my caches All my host have no problem to ULs the results on the other side DLs still in pain! Can we do anything on our side beside seating and drink something while waiting? |

Thats the amount of work waiting for wingmen. Workunits waiting for validation is 33. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

Thats the amount of work waiting for wingmen. Seems like our wingmens take few days off, normaly Pendings/Validated = 2x, to much pendings = to low RAC!. Now = 12282WU wonder to see when the number stop growing. |

...to much pendings = to low RAC!. Now = 12282WU wonder to see when the number stop growing. It's not about RAC. It's about accomplishing what you are able to for the project. Narrow-sightedness about being the best through RAC takes away from the bigger overall picture. Back to the topic at hand: I too have a few pending WUs. But I'm still able to upload/download/report. The Pending WUs will clear up when the situation allows. |

I agree with you the important thing is find our little green man. Thats our main goal and the reason we all are here! But in some other view, if RAC means nothing important then why it exist? There are few like me that like to keep it high as possible, ok i admit, makes good for my ego, but i don´t see anything wrong with that. Just call the atention of that because something must be changed at servers side that make the pendings rise at that hight level (and still rissing as i could see now 12338). And you know, everytime something changes the results could be a time bomb! And a last thing, the problem is with the DLs not the ULs so the report of WU must be OK so the validation process must be running normaly to as apears in the servers page. |

RAC is only a indication nothing more. For example you can´t compare ATI with nvidia cards by RAC. Sometimes people mention there are no ATI cards in the top 10 hosts. So those are crap (to slow) or something Thats just ignorant. Nvidias dont run VLARs, ATI´s have to. Double run time but same credits. My RAC would be at least 30% higher if i could run only VHARs and mid range units like cudas does. If i could run AP only my RAC were 50% higher but not possible. See my pledge drive thread. My ATI have not got any VLAR since Eric fixed the `problem` Do they still make them ? Or was the fix that no GPU gets VLAR any more ? |

My ATI have not got any VLAR since Eric fixed the `problem` The fix was for nvidias in particular. Some nvidia cards crashes whilst processing VLARs. Not sure its a general thing now. I dont think so. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

"Nvidias dont run VLARs," Then you should define what "most" is/means because my Nvidias from the GTX/GTS 460/450 on up have always been able to run them. Not as fast as some might like, but work is work. Unless one is into cherry picking. Don't know what else it can be called. Flushing some work units that can be crunched because they run slower than other work units is cherry picking in my book. If they cause errors or cause too great a lag so that it interferes with what the PC is normally used for, then one has a valid reason to abort them. Just because they run "slow" is not one of them,IMHO. |

I dont talk about this. VLARs will not be sent to nvidia hosts. End of story. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

I dont talk about this. Until the next time they get sent to Nvidia cards. It's happened before. It will probably happen again. And a good day to you too. |

Then you should define what "most" is/means to elaborate on what Mike is saying about "most" nVidia GPU hosts not receiving VLARs, i believe that the few nVidia GPU hosts out there that do occasionally (or regularly) receive VLARs are receiving them in error. you see, the server is coded to take angle range into account and prevent VLARs from going out to nVidia GPU hosts. i don't know if the error lies within the server or the handful of nVidia GPU hosts that accidentally receive VLARs. *EDIT* - Bill, out of curiosity, when was the last time you saw a VLAR running on one of your nVidia GPUs? |
