Congrats Chris, I have a good idea. I was on the US Olympic Archery Team in '76. We could use my best score. That would be within the range.

The Olympics is on until the 12th August, I doubt this will last until the end of it. But yes it will have an Olympic connection.

I'm a volunteer Marshall for the Torch relay and both the mens and womens cycle races, and time trials, all of which pass through my town.

We just missed the torch relay as it went through Iron Bridge.

Here is picture of the Olympic torch I have. I was a VIP host for the LA games. That was fun. I had a car, credit card and instructions to make sure the Olympic committee members had a good time.

And the Olympic Torch and/or run didn't exist in Modern times before NAZI's started doing it back in the late 1930's.

In contrast to the Olympic flame proper, the torch relay of modern times which transports the flame from Greece to the various designated sites of the games had no ancient precedent and was introduced by Carl Diem at the controversial 1936 Berlin Olympics.

Well in ancient times you didn't need a torch from Greece. The games were already there.

By the way Happy Solstice. Longest day of the year today. Mark the point where the sun sets and you will see it setting further south each day.

From what little I've read the games were done by male athletes in the Nude and Women weren't allowed to attend.

I thought that was June 21st?
