Ouch... "losing some hardware" sounds bad... I hope it's not that bad...

Are you still recovering from the latest power issues? It is the 16th & I haven't got any work from you folks yet. I should talk I have had some puter issues and no time to come up on seti for a while so I am not exactly on the beam either.

Work is flowing. If your having issues, visit the Number Crunching forum, and the folks there will help you out with whatever issues are going on for you.

Another view is that your other projects filled your cache during the series of outages, so now S@H is going to have to wait for a suitable gap in order that it can start do some work.

My Clients keep getting this message in my notices from May 18th.

There was a major power outage on Tuesday evening that affected several buildings here on campus including the entire Space Sciences Laboratory. Power has been restored this morning, and we are slowly getting the project back on line.

The SETI folks fixed an issue with notifications on the server side, these are just old messages. You shouldn't get them much more, as long as things on the server side are working right.

It's interesting to hear that everything is supposed to be back up and running when I can't seem to get anything from any project.

This little notebook has pretty much been retired but I just downloaded the BOINC client to a new Ubuntu 12.4 x64 system and the silly thing has let me connect with 3 different projects, yet none of them have downloaded squat.

I don't even want the other two, I just need something to help with the burn-in for that new box and SETI has always been my "go-to" for this.

I'm SO disappointed right now....

According to your hosts's 'All tasks for computer 6189385' page you have a Astropulse task in progress,
that's going to keep you single core host going for quite a while, so no more work required, yet.

I appreciate the input, but you missed the main gist of my post.

I know the notebook is working. That isn't my concern at the moment.

The notebook is being retired and it is being replaced by a x6 desktop. It is this very desktop that will not download anything from any project at the moment. I know it isn't the responsibility of this group to handle any of the other projects, but since I really don't care for or want any of the others, I thought I would come here and see if there is even a snowball's chance in a hot place that someone in this thread would have any insight into why.
