Hi Guys,

I did speak to Sheila yesterday and she is fine. She knows John is a little down at the moment but isn't too worried about it. She is managing OK with all the doggies thanks to the family and neighbours, so all is well at home. We are now just waiting for this white cell count to take off. I'll keep you in touch.

I had a phone call yesterday from John, and because his white cell count has rocketed up, they are intendingto send him home today. With a bit of luck we should see him on later today UK time.

That is wonderful news....
I'll bet that relieves John's depression a bit, eh?
Hope he is home very soon....his furballs are waiting.
As is Sheila, I am sure!

STOP PRESS

I have just spoken to John. They kept him in hospital for another 24 hours because of a temperature spike, but he got home 1 hour ago 16:00 UK time! His white cell count has gone from 1 to 4 in 48 hours.

The normal range for WBC count is 4,300 to 10,800 cells per cubic millimeter (cmm) or 4.3 to 10.8 x 109 cells per liter.

John needs to see Sheila and the doggies, but will most likely be on-line later :-))
