when i started bionic it said it was gonna take 9 hrs but a few seconds later it said its readey to report

There are two reported tasks in your online task list that fit your description. They both gave the following message:

SETI@Home Informational message -9 result_overflow
NOTE: The number of results detected exceeds the storage space allocated.


I think it is self-explanatory and tells you that not your computer is at fault but the data to process.
