The USA lets in BY LAW over 2 million people per year. Thats more then all other Countries put together if I understand the point correctly.

My source, Lou Dobbs has said this on both CNN & FOX.

Oh my, the second time today I've been in slight agreement with ID.

The US is in fact an easier country to LEGALLY immigrate to, when compared to most industrialized nations in the world. (Otherwise I may already be living in Canada) :-)

I'm not quite sure of how that works in the EU now.

Obviously you didn't read it, it was quoting an American University report.

Obviously I watch other news and read other papers and read internet news too.

Obviously, since I watch both FOX and CNN, and BBC, and PBS, and many others. Not that I believe any of them outright without double checking many sources.

Obviously, as I have said here before major news in this country and bought and sold by big government. They lobby as well.....

Will not leave it open for abuse.

Socioeconomics is the difference.

You just shot down all those wonderful rags to riches stories. Now I'm disenchanted.

I never said who went where, you assumed it. Thus proving we all stereotype based on socioeconomics.

You didn't preface your statement with "it is my opinion that..." but rather you presented your statement as a universal fact. Therefore there is no assumption on my part.

Hmm......
Maybe I should tag all my posts with....

'Only in my humble opinion, but.........'

Perhaps it is others that tend to take my word as gospel.
I do not err too often, but LOL, I am fallible.

I tend to take people at face value. IF you dress like a bum I think you're a bum. Dress like a h00r I think you're a h00r.
Act like a racist well then...

This goes for any race or creed. Not just people of my shade on the sliding scale.

Skill, that's prejudice. ;-)

On a weekend, if not busy, I am often dressed like a "bum".. :-)

Does that make me a "bum"? I don't think so, but to each his own. =P

Far as "dressing like a w#@##", look at 75% of American women 25 or under...
I cannot agree however that they all fit that title in actuality..

I see see very few in a burka, so isn't it closer to 100%? And isn't the fact they aren't in a burka and accompanied by a male relative proof beyond doubt they are a w#@##? ;)

Mind boggles. Young woman visiting a grave, obviously wearing a garter belt and stockings. Micro-mini skirt is so short about 3 inches of her garters are showing, black stockings have a 3 inch wide red lace top above. A sundress type of top. Due to the neighborhood I suspect she was raised catholic.

I sort of wonder about the immigration numbers -- for Europe it seems all the 'tooing and froing' within the EU isn't considered immigration -- and heaven knows there is a LOT of that. Strikes me that the EU migration is really a different kettle of fish than migration from state to state in the US and it isn't being counted.

As to illegal immigration -- seems there is plenty of that to go around in Europe, with so much of the economy being hidden (a fair amount of tax evasion all over the place), once you get inside the EU fabric curtain, you can go anywhere easily and then work 'underground'.

Here in Italy it seems there are a lot of 'non-Italians' in the work force including of course EU folks, but also folks from outside the EU (other places in Europe and from places far afield as well as of course from Africa). Seems the EU really has as much of a 'southern border' issue as the US.

Sounds a bit like Churchill -- though I though Russia's demographic implosion might offset this.

What worries me is that if the outflux from eastern European countries continues at it's present rate, at what point will Putin and his cronies move in and take over, with no resistance, expanding the Bears's empire?

Talking of racism, there is a Panorama documentary on BBC1 this evening at 20:30. This is about racism in football. Just seen a preview on the BBC news.

The question being asked is that this racism in Eastern Europe has been well documented so why was the Euro 2012 Championship being held in Eastern Europe as FIFA has a zero tolerance with regards racism.

IMV, it comes back to that old chesnut "Money Talks, Honesty Walks". It seems that Sepp Blatta & his poodle Platini prefer their Caviar & Chips!

Sirius -- FIFA has zero tolerance of racism just as much as it has zero tolerance of corruption. Next question?
