Unless you can reasonably divert to exclamation to technology of some kind - like a really fancy car, or one of her favorite pet peeves.

Pet peeves need a very strong lead or a cage if intending to use them later,
A freshly charged cattle prod is usefull in this respect.

Not an unpleasant feeling unless the lady you are with catches your mind, in which case it can be quite painful in a physical sort of way (and then it tends to result in one's mind returning in a hurry!!!!)

Well it happens to me so I reckon that it happens to others for the same reason. ;)

Being a widower for the last 6yrs I probably suffer from that symptom a lot more often. :D
