I've had 2 or 3 data sets that have stopped computing with 'Computational Errors'. Where can I find explainations for these computational errors? Does the system have a set of error codes that can be looked up? Where can I find them? |

Have a trawl through the "number crunching" forum. You will get a much quicker answer there Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

You can check what specific error you ran into by going to your tasks page (http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=6433081 and clicking on the TaskId of any of the erroneous tasks. E.g. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=2449507754. You see you hit Incorrect function. (0x1) - exit code 1 (0x1) Normally exit code 1 is the most difficult one to figure out. I know, I tried. But in this context, it seems to be a side-effect of the 7.0.25 specific client. You'd do best to upgrade to .27 or .28 (see this post in the BOINC 7.0 change log thread for links to BOINC 7.0.27; the next post has links to 7.0.28), as these have extra detection for the exit code 1 errors and will try to give extra information on what threw it. |
