New user here, I download the work units and my computer started working them in the background as expected. The screen saver kicked in as expected later on, My fan went crazy (not too worried, about time this pc did some real work) After i started using the pc i expected the fan to go off, it didnt and the fan was annoying me so i thought if i suspend the work units then retstart it might go back to working slower in the background. So i clicked suspend on all the units - i get the dialog next to the units "suspended by user" Now i assumed i could click resume and they would start, but they dont, i have left it all night and it hasn't moved. and still says "suspended by user" even though the button to click suspend is clickable (ie if it was suspended the button would be resume not suspend) Any ideas whats gone wrong? All i wanted to do was quieten the fan down while i was on the pc, over night it can do what it wants. |

:-) The boinc software is slightly less than user friendly. Thanks for answering your question because I was clueless as to what was going on. Lol #resist |
