Most likely the same as SandyBridge, so SSE3 Why not test each app yourself, Lunatics has the Knabench 2.08 program and shortened MB test Wu's in their Test and Benchmark Tools section, just add a reference app (normally the Stock 6.03 CPU app and libfftw3f-3-1-1a_upx.dll) to the reference folder, the all the apps you want to test to the science apps folder, (you can right click on the 64bit 0.40 installer and extract all the apps to a folder, do the same with the 32bit 0.40 Installer too) then put just the PG**** test Wu's in the TestWUs folder, Double click MBbench208.cmd to run the Bench. Once you're run the Bench, please post the results of the Quick timetable (Bench results are stored in the Testdata directory) Claggy |

SSE3 is what I'm running. On my machine, 3770K, it appears to be a tad bit faster than 4.1 etc. Traveling through space at ~67,000mph! |

Once you're run the Bench, please post the results of the Quick timetable (Bench results are stored in the Testdata directory) There is a bench program for Linux, just not in a public accessible area of the site. Let me check with Urs if he has any complaints against releasing to the general public. |

Ivy Bridge is just a shrunken Sandy Bridge. There has to be a lot of experience out there with Sandy Bridge. Use that. |

thanx for all your help Here's my GT240: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=5542161 1600 - 1800 seconds seems to be the "average" for me. BTW it's using the x38g version because it gives the GPU priority for using the CPU cycles. The Celeron is crunching but it's main task is to feed the GPU. </Tazz> |

Once you're run the Bench, please post the results of the Quick timetable (Bench results are stored in the Testdata directory) Thanks, that was definitely unclear. I've retitled the platform specific test bench downloads with a leading Windows, Linux, etc. Joe |
