Multiple computers on one account

I have a desktop and laptop with 2 cores and a 8 year old single core on the same account. I suspect all the account preferences apply to all 3 computers. With this said the single core seems to run for a while and stop and later maybe restart. Sometimes a reboot starts it up again and others time not. I suspect maybe an overheating core. I have the CoreTemp gadget but no numbers. I am thinking this desktop is a real legacy for core temp monitoring. If I can't resolve the problem I guess I will just disconnent this desktop from Seti-Home. Any ideas....Thanks

CoreTemp won't work on a P4, no.
Use something older, like Motherboard Monitor 5 for that.

Real is just a matter of perception.

Have tried various gadgets that reference the P4 but none work..so that's life I guess. Might be the combo of P4 and WIN 7. Thanks for the info though.

Thanks for the guidance. I got home last night and the bugger was chunking along a top speed. Then later it was processing at about 30-40%. I monitored for a while and it seems there is a pattern....100% then 40-50%..repeats regularly. I don't think the AstroPulse V6 would cause this but I have nothing to compare since this was the first file downloaded to me. Does AstroPulse have slowdown periods that would cause this. Othwerwise if might just have heating problems and it takes breathers. AstroPulse is about 50% completed so wait and see. This file was about an 87hr unit.

Ok thanks..I have looked around and do not see a throttling feature so to speak. Is it one of those that are not obvious.
