Furr balls are mostly the kind which need a bath and stripping/fur clipped every 8 to 10 weeks. they still eat uup crumbs.

Only got ale at "cellar temperature", will that suffice?

(Those repair crews "assisted in the removal" of all the really cold stuff...)

Cellar temps will be just fine, 'tis nice and chilly down there still I hope? And the repair crews certainly earned the cold ones for getting things up and running so fast. Oh, and I'll go around the place and open the windows, before someone opens the fridge :)

Nice thought Zapped, but we locked down the fridges as soon as the mains went. Since most were "well stuffed" our local backup kept us going, but it wouldn't have if we'd kept opening the doors.

Gotta go, two VIGs have just crawled through the entrance - they certainly deserve the ice-cold that was set aside for them at the outset...

No food was ruined! Woo! Maybe I shouldn't be as excited about that as much as I am but I hate to see good food go to waste. AKA I'm greedy :)

Nick, glad you've turned up, did you hear the good news about the food? :)

Wow!! that was close...good thinking on keeping them fridge doors closed, Rob.
I suspect committee member Chris will award you with a free beer and a bit
of nosh too.
Don't worry about any dust found collecting in the cafe, I will be able to run
the hoover around now that the power is back on.

The fridges are on auto-lock, so when the mains goes they are locked, and only those with the right keys can open them. As far as I there are only three sets of keys, one for each time zone group leader.

This was enacted after the "elephants in the butter" event of a few years back, which I gather was pre-dated by the sharks in the custard event that nearly claimed a very popular lady's fingers...

That was before my time....

I'd heard rumours about that, but never heard anything approaching a first hand account...
