Yes, and they were ordered (I had to counter sign Monday's request), so it looks as if they've not arrived...

Strange thing is he was able to sign off a lot of the major decoration, but couldn't sign off a few quid (dollars in your/his speak) for some minor furnishings - crazy, or crazy?

This cafe hasn't any garden or lawn, I can't do any weeding, I feel I've been
made redundant!!

Sure it does Nick. You were so into the chocolate, you walked out the wrong door.
Is there money in the general fund for a shoe rack and some disposable loafers for the clods, that insist on walking on the newly moved lawn instead of the paths?

See, we have got a lawn....can I still pick the weeds if I see any?

You most certainly may - but just be careful when you go round behind the rose garden, we've had some reports of strange muffled sounds back there...

Yes, about the roses. The genetics lab down the road were getting rid of them and I offered to give them a home. Downside is the roses like nothing better than to talk. Don't start a conversation with them though, you'll be there all day (and night). On the upside they're poisonous to aphids.

Zap' they could be GM roses then? Better keep our eyes on the daffodils
next January, they might come-up smelling of "Roses"? If they do then we
will either have to call them, "Daffoses" or Rosedils" or even, "Rose-a-dili-daffies"...

A rare post from Hostipal, and thanks to Jeff in hosting this thread.

Just got over 1 month Renal failure, and now on a Haemmatology ward preparing for Myeloma chemo treatment from next week.

All very sudden after a no weight fracture of my left upper arm. At least treatment starts soon, with a trial using chemo and stemcells.

Keep up the competition, and I shouuld be back in a few months.
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Hi Vincent, Hi Thomas.

John, glad to see you are still around, if only for a short time. Monday's revitalisation is very "Antipodean" in stile, but then I'd expect nothing less from him. (And the Koala bar staff are well trained in the art of looking after real ales in the manner they deserve)
