Message 1229199 - Posted: 8 May 2012, 20:46:44 UTC

I figured I'd start this thread as a discussion of:
Some of us are left, some are right, but I assume all of us have beliefs or ideas that are contrasting to the majority that we are normally part of.
For example. I am a Democrat. (There, I said it, oh no...)

But one thing that I believe in strongly, that is against the "blue" side of things is that I believe in my right to own guns, and I exercise this right.
I am not a gun nut, I am not registered with the NRA. I do NOT hunt, I do NOT believe in harming others, or animals (except for food).

But, nonetheless I own guns, I believe in my right to own guns, I believe in my right to defend my property and family, and I would be very against anyone taking that right away from me, or imposing regulations that infringe on that right.

That's my hypocritical tendency. What's yours?

I don't have any that Im aware of. I reckon you can point to my being a Union member [?], but I never have agreed to what they do with my dues.

I take the law to heart. I belong to the Constitution Party. The law is as the intent of the founders. It was agreed on by the 13, and every state thereafter. There is no wiggle room in federal law. If you want or need to wiggle you do that in the state.

It's cut an dry to me.

It is consensus of the Hoi polloi. In the state that is listened to real close, or should be. In the fed it is rule of law only and if the consensus of the Hoi polloi is to change that law they have the right and means to do so.

If we elect people who understand said issues there would be no Hypocritical tendencies in government at all. Just Hypocritical people who need removed from office is what I see and have seen for many a year now....

Careful who you vote for Blue Dog...

Martin Niemoller's famous quotation or poem, from the text of an Address he gave to the United States Congress in 1968, which appears in the Congressional Record, October 14, 1968, page 31636.

"When Hitler attacked the Jews
I was not a Jew, therefore I was not concerned.
And when Hitler attacked the Catholics,
I was not a Catholic, and therefore, I was not concerned.
And when Hitler attacked the unions and the industrialists,
I was not a member of the unions and I was not concerned.
Then Hitler attacked me and the Protestant church --
and there was nobody left to be concerned."

Haven't come across this term being used before, "Posting after a flounce",
what does it mean?

I think it might have been a dig on me, or it was comic satire. But I must admit I don't recall the word flounce in my vocabulary, and had to look it up. :-)

Did you see that other word they used in Wikipedia, the "w" word?
I'm sure Ms MisFit did not intend for this to be included too, she's far to
proper for that.

Virtually the same as what you get from Wiki's. Didn't see the wan***
word in the urban definitions as apposed to those of Wiki's.

Anyway, Misfit has introduced us to a goodly term usable in context
with an action, possibly unsavory, whilst in the act of blogging.

Come-on ID do us a flounce and lets see it in action....

There is some noted variability in the ability of flouncers to remain flounced. Speculation as to the flouncer's ability to 'stick the flounce' is a common topic, post-flounce. It is the totally unfair and unwarranted observation of this author--as implied by the above set of reasons for flounces--that flouncing is a particularly common maneuver amongst tone trolls.

Ho-ho, do flouncers and trolls have something in common?
