For current case it is his predecessor set the irreversable course for several years so following electee looks like getting along with it. But if you see previous terms by democrats it is they are only trying to reduce the debt. Look at blue zones carefully, where those blue sections heading. Last two red zones Reagan through BushII show clear debt trends. Mandtugai! |

Looks like a moot point as to who wins the Whitehouse because the climate in congress seems headed towards partisanship. Just look at the latest race between a centrist Republican and a Teanderthal in Indiana. I must have missed the part of the Constitution about insuring domestic tranquility and promoting the general welfare - of the 1%. Besides the fact that Dullnando doesn't understand the meaning of socialism, let's use his uninformed definition. So, socialist or anarchist? I'd rather be a socialist - I like the idea of a functioning society. I'm honestly surprised at how many "Christians" become atheist as soon as money or society is mentioned. Paul Ryan might be a perfect example - purports to be Christian, yet espouses the views of Ayn Rand as reflected in his budget. |

I'm not anywhere near being a member of the top 1%, maybe somewhere near the bottom of the top 50% income wise but I would still rather live in the USA than most any place else. I am registered as a republican but I don't consider myself right wing (maybe I sit in the right side seats in the fuselage). There are several issues that I don't support the republican official stand on but the concept that they know what's best for everybody else has always been my greatest hangup with the dems, and their tendency toward creating a welfare state. It's amazing that the country still works with that mentality... A actually cancel you out so NYAHHHH!!! Now more than ever its important to remember which party has forced its representatives and senators in DC to pledge no new taxes(for the wealthy). Well that's special. now that taxes are at a 60 year historic low its always good to dig in your heels. How's that work? no new taxes and the only cost reductions considered are the ones the wealthy donors don't care about. Question: what's it like being the patsy for the Republican party? Seriously? I assume you aren't worth a cool million and I'm willing to wager there are less than 2 here on the boards. That being said the republicans don't now, won't in the future, haven't in the past give a rats patoot about the poor or middle class let alone small business owners or you. A party whose last and current candidates own more homes than I do pairs of shoes. I'm sorry I can't fathom how a multi million dollar company would be considered small. Guess this is one area where I fail to see how Christian conservatives would consider being aparty to the nonsense. Here's a few sweet lines I prefer from the bible. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. (Republicans demonstrate their desire to be kicked in the teeth time and again) The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. (Sooo you want to screw over jesus?) I stand dumbfounded at a people who claim to be religious but ignore the basic tenets of the religion. Help the poor, you are your brothers keeper, here's another fun one...He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. Think about that when you roll up into your evangelical super church that teaches you to feel good about being wealthy because you earned it because you worked hard. Oh and tip the preacher generously his mansion needs a new hot tub. Lets not forget the political messages like you'll burn in hell if you vote the wrong way. Really? time for me to find a new church. Heck read the pages yourself here http://bible.cc/proverbs/14-31.htm In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

It's amazing that the country still works with that mentality I would take that as an objective demonstration that more government isn't required ... I'm sorry I can't fathom how a multi million dollar company would be considered small. <barbie>Math is hard<barbie> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_companies_by_revenue Exxon $486,429,000,000.00 vs. "multi million" $2,000,000.00 = 0.0004% and that isn't small to you. Okay. Maybe you should learn there is something called "micro". Guess this is one area where I fail to see how Christian conservatives would consider being aparty to the nonsense. Stick a gun in his face a rob him to give to the poor. Guess the poor want a gun in their face and be robbed to give to the rich. Makes perfect sense. I stand dumbfounded at a people who claim to be religious but ignore the basic tenets of the religion. Help the poor, you are your brothers keeper, Use the government as a charity. Whatever you do don't set up a foundation to aid the poor or give money to a registered charity. That money would be better spent on a welfare mama with her neighborhood's 20 kids she claims as hers. here's another fun one...He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. Think about that when you roll up into your evangelical super church that teaches you to feel good about being wealthy because you earned it because you worked hard. Oh and tip the preacher generously his mansion needs a new hot tub. Criminals exist. Chop their hands off when you find them. Lets not forget the political messages like you'll burn in hell if you vote the wrong way. Really? time for me to find a new church. There is no organized religion that isn't guilty as charged. Just ask the Chinese about the Falun Gong. Rhetorical, not intended as a debate on the Falun Gong. The difference is some believe charity should be mandatory, others voluntary. I'll note the wording is: provide for "the common good" not "the individual good" Anyone can use a road. Only one person can use an EBT card. Everyone benefits from criminals being locked up. Only one family benefits from a loan modification. Charity is not one of the functions of Government listed in the Constitution. |

Thanks to democrat created inflation, a million dollars is not that much any more. Try a billion. Thats true. I remember a longish time ago the definition of a millionaire also included those families with an income of $100,000 per annum. Well, guess what, if a couple, over 25, both earn just over the average income in full time work, that figure has been reach in 2012. |

Earlier today I participated in an online presidential poll run by an outfit called Newsmax. A little while later I got an e-mail thanking me for participating and with a link to the results. With over 300,000 responses Mitt Romney has garnered over 75% of the votes. We might have an interesting election afterall. But it's a long way to November. I don't know how reliable that 300,000 respondents claim can be: Newsmax Media is a conservative American news media organization founded by Christopher W. Ruddy and based in West Palm Beach, Florida. It operates the news website Newsmax.com and publishes Newsmax magazine. While it may still be an interesting race, their numbers are likely very skewed. |

Totally agree. With a 2 horse race, any jockey can ride them & one horse will always win. With a 3 horse race, the favourites will always ensure the top jockey rides the horses! |
