This is a cut and paste from The information regarding forum moderation thread.

Request Regarding Long Threads

For those who originate some of the more common threads--when they start heading towards 500-700 posts, please consider opening a new version. We do have some people who are on slower systems and/or even dialup Internet connections and long threads can be really frustrating (especially those with pics). Some have resulted in some concerns being expressed to the mods.

Simply open a new version and red-x the old version and the mods will lock the old version.

The "The Last Person To Post Wins" is the only thread exempt from this request due to it's basic premise.

Thanks!

Now I read that as request and not a hard and fast RULE. But We do get the complaint about long threads from people with slow connections.

Well, if nobody is prepared to take up the responsability of a stand-in in John's absence, I'll be doing it. Period. Wouldn't be the first time I took over when the thread owner was inconvenienced.
I'd also prefer it if somebody else took charge :P

That's my prediction.

Ok New TV series from the USA:

It's a classic one from the 60's whose main actor has not quit acting quite yet, name the show, the actor and the episode.

Hint: Lots of rubble, damage and interference...

NO two part questions! You may omit any information you choose from your question, but you can only be looking for ONE answer.

Let's try to be on the honor system here and not use Google until everyone's stuck.

And just try to keep it moving.

Most importantly, have fun! :-)

Since I won in the last thread, which is shut down, I'll start off this thread as if the last were still going:

Ok New TV series from the USA:

It's a classic one from the 60's whose main actor has not quit acting quite yet, name the show, the actor and the episode.

Hint: Lots of rubble, damage and no communications...

No two part questions - which is exactly what happened to your last post.

Two part? It's all in one post.

If It means No Hints, then forget It, I'd rather go back to the old thread...

Lol, be nice Vic. Just rephrase the question slightly and ask for ONE answer :-)

Also curious how people would feel about introducing pictures into the thread?

I.E. "name the show this character is from"
<picture>

Thoughts?
