Okay, two things came to mind when I saw that there was just one remaining..

I'm calling this task Neo. With the status page not updating it could already be gone.

I prefer to ask is this the one that was? the one that is? or the one that will be?

Anyone remember which which SciFi series I am refering too?

Why do you say that? Not arguing with you, but it looks like it's completed it's last three V5.05's without fault? It's just an older machine.

The Work Unit has been validated and credit granted. There is a known problem in the v505 validators. When this last Task comes in, it will either be marked "Completed, too late to validate" with no credit granted for the cruncher (like the first two), or it will be marked "Validation Pending" and hang in limbo until Eric rescues it.

Unless they patched to code for this that take will come and be in the "Completed, waiting for validation" state until they manually run the query to clear the stuck/hostage ones out. Which also seems to be occurring with the APv6 tasks.

Yes but the first 2 that are marked too late to validate came in way before the 2 that eventually validated.

David has been playing with the revalidate script over last couple of days so it could be (or at least partially) fixed by the time the last v505 result comes in:

Ahaha. Not the one.

Babylon 5, of course.

Glad to see I am not the only one old enough to remember B5 round here, though it is being repeated on fx at present.

Yes but the first 2 that are marked too late to validate came in way before the 2 that eventually validated.

They actually came in before _2 was created. The only known reason, why a _2 would be created in that case, is "Completed, validation inconclusive" for both, but how could they get from there to their current state?

And than, why after _6 was returned there were 2 new resends created and not just 1?

I think I watched the first season or so, but lost interest.

Looks like another forever stuck workunit.
Even if it gets returned (unlikely?), the WU will just stay in validation.

More important question is... when will the admins change astropulse status display in status page to APv6. Is it really that difficult?

Nah - this is what will happen:

This guy will miss his deadline. Next Saturday, one (possibly even two) new tasks will be created, and a few hours later get sent out to users.

Then, a couple of days later, this one will be reported in late, and we'll have another one to count back in.....

That is what I suggested the other day would probably occur to that task. to which it was mentioned there have been some code changes. So we will just have to see what happens.

I imagine they are waiting for the counts to be 0 to change the display over. IIRC someone mentioned that is what they did for the v5 to v505 change over.
