Hmm, but the Results returned and awaiting validation for AP 505 is now all of a sudden down to zero. What's up with that? Same here, of my 4, two are now showing in my invalid list as returned too late to validate. However, they have a credit allocated to them. I cannot work out if I have been allocated this credit or not. If not, this is a disappointing con as the results were retuned within deadline. They really should not be in an invalid list as they were totally consistent with the other two results for the WUs http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?userid=9412958&offset=0&show_names=0&state=4&appid= ____________

Hmm, but the Results returned and awaiting validation for AP 505 is now all of a sudden down to zero. What's up with that? They must have done something. Several of the old stuck ones I have now have credit for all of the hosts. Although 2 still have hosts with "pending". I imagine the query might still be running. ____________ SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the BP6/VP6 User Group today!

Hmm, but the Results returned and awaiting validation for AP 505 is now all of a sudden down to zero. What's up with that? Yeah, that's where they went :-) I still have 5 of my AP's in limbo though. 2 valida.....Oops, I give up. As I wrote this things started to change with my hanging 505s. They're doing something as I write. ____________ /The grumpy old Swede. "I'm so old, that 98% of all trees in the forest, are younger than I am"

Hmm, but the Results returned and awaiting validation for AP 505 is now all of a sudden down to zero. What's up with that? Update, all for of my AP5's have now been moved to invalid on the grounds that they were too late to validate. I am fairly sure that I did not get any credit for them, despite returning them before the deadline and with a valid result:(( ____________

I am fairly sure that I did not get any credit for them, despite returning them before the deadline and with a valid result:(( You got credit for them, you can see that once in the results list for each of those WUs and also in each result's details. EDIT: we are down to 41 now. ____________ .

Update, all for of my AP5's have now been moved to invalid on the grounds that they were too late to validate. I am fairly sure that I did not get any credit for them, despite returning them before the deadline and with a valid result:(( Eric has scripts he uses at SETI Beta to grant credit for completed tasks when work needs to be cancelled or such, I think one of those or similar is probably being used. I just knew 42 wasn't the final answer! ;^) Joe

Update, all for of my AP5's have now been moved to invalid on the grounds that they were too late to validate. I am fairly sure that I did not get any credit for them, despite returning them before the deadline and with a valid result:(( OK, but I still dont like having them classed as invalid. Invalid implies my PC did something wrong and produced results that did not match the others. They should have gone into valid even if they were not used as part of the validation process. EDIT now down to 40 ____________

OK, but I still dont like having them classed as invalid. Invalid implies my PC did something wrong and produced results that did not match the others. They should have gone into valid even if they were not used as part of the validation process. My guess is that BOINC knows only valid and invalid, so since the results were not part of the validation process, they are marked invalid, as it's not sure, if they actually were valid. After all it doesn't matter, neither for the science nor for your application statistics (your consecutive valid tasks value was not reseted to 0), so give it few hours more and nobody will know you had any "invalid" results. ____________ .

Based on a linear extrapolation of the data since this thread began, I estimate that the last result will be returned on 18 May.

Based on a linear extrapolation of the data since this thread began, I estimate that the last result will be returned on 18 May. 18 May which year? I suspect most of the ones still out in the field are ones that error out on some / all software versions requiring multiple resends with 3 week intervals before each resend ____________

14! And the best part is that they are purging as well! I was just looking at my list of stuck AP v505 tasks and one that was fixed up yesterday poofed. The tasks being stuck was bothering me a lot more than any credit issues. ____________ SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the BP6/VP6 User Group today!

14! Result turnaround time (last hour average): 0.17 hours Must have been quite a few "too much blanking" tasks that timed out recently and were resend to hosts with small or empty caches. ____________ .
