I am trying to post a picture of what I am trying to describe. Can anyone tell me how?

I've had some similar results. I assumed it turned out to be man made.

the 3 green lines are the screensaver showing you what it thinks is a triplet

I get those exact bars all the time, is it really inference.

no just read my previous post. also radio interference from earth would block out whole sections of the graph. This does not look anything like radio interference

I was looking tonight and once again I had these same green peaks or triplets in my results.

It happens so often and for so many different signals it seems a little odd.

I am thinking it is not interference but maybe a signature of something natural.

It's not unusual. The MB app only checks for triplet "fit" The NTPKR will eventually determine if the triplets are valid candidates.

So it is common but nobody has an explanation for it.

Suggestions for what it is?

for what? is "it" a triplet? yes we have explanations if you'd have asked that type if signal.

A triplet search is one of several tests done on a WU. Gaussians, Triplets, and pulses are all looked for in the WU's. You may notice from time to time that you'll get a single green line which indicates a Pulse has potentially been found

Today I had a triplet that was firmly in the green, this triplet was very strong.

I got pretty excited it seemed to defiantly be 'something'.

there are reasons most of us choose to not use the screen saver.

The first is the average user uses an LCD screen which doesn't have that much potential at having burn in on the screen

Second is most of us just turn off the monitor if we walk away.

3rd is it slows down the average WU process by 1-2%

the fourth is seti@home processes a lot of WU's. so we are unlikely to actually see something significant by watching the screen.

See how much data they receive every day.

You 1 triplet in a pile of 800,000+ has to be sifted through the NTPKr to determine if it fits the definition of a triplet then it has to have repeated results at the same spot in the sky. I hope you found ET but after 13 years I think we need to keep looking.

No, no I can't you're to far away and I know how you blue aliens are... hold the screen saver against you and the next thing I know I'm waking up in a crop circle with my pants down and apparent anal probing done to me... no thanks
