And please do keep John and Sheila in your thoughts and prayers. Depending on it's nature, chemo can be very rough stuff, and can drain one's energy and spirit. So don't be too surprised if John isn't exactly doing jumping jacks as his treatment progresses. Speaking as another who has a loved one going through it. Wow I am overwhelmed, and thanks to all well wishers. I hope to start the chemo next Monday orr Tuesday, which, I hope, includes bone marrow stem cell treatment of my own stem cells. Ten years ago this was all new. Kidneys behaving and look like returning to some normalite in about two weeks. Again, thanks for the well wishers. Again, thanks for the wishes. Currently going through mental cycles on my way to see successful chemo, and comlete removal of the useless Paraprotein molecules from my blood. When that happens I will make 100, my psychology will determine that. Onwards and upwards to really positive thoughts. It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

So you have a little Myeloma, huh. I wish you well. Autologous stem cell replacement is an excellent treatment and has come a long way in the last 10-15 years. The only bad part, for everyone other than you, is the smell. Stem cells are preserved in glycerine and frozen with liquid nitrogen. When the cells are returned to you the Glycerine comes along for the ride. That smell is something to behold. I'm betting you'll do fine. Glad to have you back!!!
