Message 1313595 - Posted: 10 Dec 2012, 17:51:38 UTC - in response to Message 1222846.

One I belive maybe someone is seeing something. The real ufos are overlooked because of so many frauds. Most are pictures of lights miles away never steady and when they are in focus they are so fake its absurd. Another thing is that these small ships cannot be from another world they couldnt carry enough fuel. The sheer distances involved a lightyear or more would take 50 years or more to do. The nearest star Alpha Proxima is about 4.5 lightyears away at 60000 mph it would take 73000 years to reach the nearest star one way.
The BIGGEST question a intelligent being comes all this way and continues to do so for decades or centurys and not one attempt of communication. A intelligent race would communicate in some form.
If they have been visiting for all this time but not communicateing what is thier intentions. Why not communicate, with life so precious and rare in space why not communicate share information or refuel to return to point of origin.
The earth is a gem a rare diamond amongst millions of other planets and stars maybe a occupation of the earth by a dying planet or star system race that have to relocate. With knowledge of star travel could be a tough foe to deal with. With half the population with cameras you would think that someone somewhere on the earth would have a picture of a UFO that showed it this tall this wide and what it looks like in an out. If this could be done then maybe belife in some sort of extraterrestial life could be belived.
There are reports of a air force officer touching one in a secure airforce base that housed nuclear weapons in Great Britain. I feel this the most reliable sighting documented ,in offcial report. Why would a ship go to this base without a purpose or intent of malnevolence in someway.

the BIGGEST misunderstanding is the term U.F.O. itself. There ARE U.F.O's ..... yes... They DO Exist. but everyone just assumes that a U.F.O. has to be from outer space. Oh, by the way, have you noticed it's U.F.O. and NOT just UFO ..... yes, U.F.O.. anyway, U.F.O's actually even exist On Earth. That's right, even a Small aircraft or a helicopter, or a hot Air Balloon can be a U.F.O.. if it hasn't been identified (as in Who It Is), it is a U.F.O.. If an Aircraft happens to fly off course and has lost it's radio, and can't be contacted, it is a U.F.O: Unidentified flying object. Even a Flock of birds viewed on a radar, that hasn't been physically Viewed, and apperas to be just a Flying object on the Radar, is a U.F.O..

It's probably The I.S.S., or some other Satellite.

There was a supposed sighting of a Large U.F.O. in Melbourne Australia on the night of May 31st,2012. i saw it on YouTube. strangely enough, DRAGON (the first commercial Space craft) returned from the I.S.S. on may 31st. It passed over Australia on its descent Journey, and splashed down in The Pacific Ocean. looking at The Object in The Video, you can clearly see the Solar Panels reflecting light.

I agree. A UFO doesn't always have to come from outer space but it's fun thinking they do:)

It's probably The I.S.S., or some other Satellite.

And if you would like to spot that particular UFO on a regular basis, sighting opportunities for where you live are available here :)

I think I'd agree with that :-) 99.9% of UFO's can be explained away, and in the other cases, governments are hardly likely to draw attention to top secret military projects. However, there are some occurrences every year that cannot be explained away by ANY means known to mankind, and those are what worry people. Origins from ET's and outer space are simply a tempting answer to them.

Tempting to me as well...:)

As 'tempting' or as alluring as Religion?...

What do you hope for from your Aliens?

Meanwhile, for your amusement, I have recently seen for real a real UFO! In plain daylight, clear view, but as is usual for such things, too fast for me to get a camera onto it.

The time was last weekend, just as twilight was falling. Lasted a good few minutes to get a good look. It was the classic two lights flying in variable formation and moving on occasion VERY QUICKLY. They would also disappear right before my eyes to then reappear in the far distance a moment or two later, to then whirl around each other to then frighteningly quickly zoom back close by again.

And they were extremely BRIGHT.

The lights did that for a five circuits of their dance before disappearing off to one side. Quite a show!

I was too surprised and delighted to get a camera on them until after they had departed. Shame...

And this was all around the one large tower and conurbation that dominates the very flat fens.

Certainly a good one to live and learn!

And for the further detail...

Watching whilst the super bright lights were dancing around and slowly pulsing to extremely bright to then down to invisible, that all looked exactly like the stereotypical "UFO lights" as seen on TV.

Only when the lights moved off to the right of my view was I able to see that the two lights that had been dancing around 'erratically' in formation were actually two sky-blue painted...

... small...

... man-made...

... jet aircraft.

They looked small enough to be military jet trainer aircraft and were loosely flying in formation with one aircraft a little behind and off to one side of the lead aircraft.

And the super bright lights and dancing about?

I recognized the 'lights' as aircraft as soon as they moved into straight and level flight to fly off to the right. They had been circling low, possibly in a holding pattern for a nearby airport. The varying blinding light was the low angle of sun reflecting off the wings and canopies as they circled banked over at perhaps 45 degrees. The lights were perceived as dancing as one object due to the two aircraft staying in formation as they flew around the holding circle.

All very convincingly spooky until the clearer view gave the game away!

All the reports all the sightings that dont make sense. Lights that travel the atmosphere at tens of thousands an hour. Mach 3 requires a skin to survive 3500 degrees of heating and retain its purpose. Some day one way or another 60 years of silence will have to be told. Almost every country and every nation that has nuclear capibility have been visited or observed. Sandia labs almorgorgo, white sands, all over flown in 1951-1953 operation twinkle, operation page , operation bluebook all were disinformation attempts that have worked thru many presidents and congresses and many top brass in the airforce. All share a secret they have contact why else hide all UFO information behind above top secret, nuclear weapons information is only secret.Why?...
If the Airforce declares nothing there but USSR, Great Britain,Belgium, Mexico,Brazil,Isreal, Iran, all have UFO files. How come the US is the only country that wont release information?...There is only one logical reason they have made contact or intimate knowledge of what ET is and hide the evidence so our enemies and others dont have the knoledge of their powers to jouney the stars. Seti should monitor the oldest stars in globular clusters those stars as old as the universe itself.

Greetings Earthlings,
I'm new to posting on this forum so I thought I might introduce myself first. I have the SETI package installed and have been running it for a while. It's not the first time, I have kept up with this project and participated several times over the years. I am also into science in a big way and have a particular interest in fringe science and UFO research. I do believe they are out there. I also have an interest in alternative energy such "zero point" or quantum. Some of you will know what I'm talking about. I think this is the type of energy used to power such craft so the argument about them not having enough fuel to travel long distance doesn't ring true.
There have been so many thousands of sightings I personally think the possibility of all of them being fake is so remote as to be absurd. These things exist. As far as why we don't yet have definitive public proof yet is certainly a mystery. The world is full of mysteries don't you think? Things like Baalbek and the pyramids come to mind. I have read the works of Zecharia Sitchin and while they certainly give one interpretation I do think he missed the mark. The point is, there is a lot we don't know and there are more questions than answers.

Salute

Points to ponder: In 3 billion years the Milkyway and andromada will collide head on. What if ET knows this and wants to assist us in getting to the stars and saving the essense of mankind. If we could only find out for sure one way or another. Life seems to thrive on water worlds and fills every niche with life. If ET is here why is he here if he know this galaxy is doomed and needs our help , who knows...

In 3 billion years life won't be possible on Earth because of the gradual ageing and brightening of the Sun.

Also, the collision of the Milky Way and Andromeda would likely have little effect on individual star systems. Space, even in Galaxies, is mostly empty. Epic visions of stars colliding and ripping themselves apart is unlikely.
Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.

If we're still here in 3 billion years, we may have learned how to inhibit the expansion of the Sun by mixing it stratified layers and prolonging its stable life span. At least one nearby star, Zeti Reticuli appears to be part of a group of old stars, but has some points of appearance of a much younger one.
The newly discovered prospective planet KOI 172.02 may not be suitable for human habitation anyway. It could be full of sentient life already, either native to the planet or colonized from elsewhere.
