ID -- each to their own, I suppose. The both of you need to accept that you're in the wrong reality..... |

You are out numbered. A stupid decision made by millions of people is still a stupid decision. |

So was the Lemming standing on a rock shouting "go back, go back"... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

You follow the Lemming. I'll follow the logical crowd. |

Now the debate is - are the lemmings rushing forward being logical as individuals in their actions? Or Are their action a form of group logic? Or Is the lone lemming actually out of touch with the reality that some unknown object is chasing the lemmings? When you look at part of a picture you only get part of the answer Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Now the debate is - are the lemmings rushing forward being logical as individuals in their actions? The debate is the size of the brain pan. I don't give a damn why they jump. I give a damn about correct answers from a group of intelligent people who are better then one expert at getting a correct answer. Our Constitution was written for that group of intelligent people who think before THEY LEAP! Please, by all means---follow the Lemmings, PLEASE! |

Now the debate is - are the lemmings rushing forward being logical as individuals in their actions? The "truth" about lemmings is a little more mundane. The don't commit suicide en masse, despite Disney movie myths. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

And, as expected, ID fell into a well laid trap, as do so many folks - its an art in laying the trap with the right bait... (And yes I knew long before Bobby spilled the beans Lemmings don't rush to their death in an orgy of mass suicide) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Why not just look at ourselves when it possibly comes to Intelligent Design Theory? If we should believe Charles Darwin correctly, evolution is not thought of as being random or coincidental by nature. Even though evolution is constantly happening, both in small steps as well as larger steps, it is steadily progressing forward most of the time in a direction which is thought of as "being better", meaning that conditions for life could change over time and therefore it is also needed to make changes in order to be able to adapt to these new conditions. We also are having the "little brain" behind the two main parts which is located in the middle towards the rear. Its functionality is the handling of numbers by means of computation. If we need to jump in order to avoid something, like a pool of water, it is the task of the "litte brain" in order to make these computations. Which part of your brain is supposed to be showing you up as either being super-intelligent (like Albert Einstein), or rather a super-heavyweight boxing or wrestling champion? Is one part of the your brain supposed to be dominant, or possibly dominating the other part as a result of either "Intelligent Design", or possibly something else? What is needed for a particular purpose? Is it always available? Humans are known to be having a three-part brain, not two-part brain. The left part of the brain is dealing with everything physical and practical, like picking a full cup of coffee from a table up to your mouth without you spoiling to much. The right part of your brain is dealing with thoughts as well as dreams. Males are known to be having a better 3-D as well as distance understanding of things and objects than woman, something which probably has been inherited from the time we had to be hunting for prey in order to survive. In many other instances, woman of course are known to be better than men when it comes to certain things. |

You can even put a big bright flashing neon sign on it and he will still stumble in. Part of the problem when you ignore what your senses tell you. |

Bump. Indeed, second paragraph (except first line) in my previous post should have ended up at the bottom. Hope this makes it clearer. |

I got my knuckles rapped hardcore when I asked something similar to that in catechism rofl when asked a question they can't answer because it would create a quandry (cos god was like there before it all and whatever...) beat the knuckles bloody with a ruler so kids never asks the question again. (They really didn't like it when I asked who God was talking to when He said Let Us make Man in Our own image, nor what I said when they tried to answer me with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I said 'really? then why aren't we all old men, young men and ghosts?' lol I got it from my mom then...) |
