lol ya they perfected the art of not leaving marks ..except the large bruises on one's head. These last few posts may seem off topic, but are they? I don't think so as they underline their interpretations of the bible. Nice bible teaching - assault those who could not fight back! |

Or even worse... treat youngsters like they don't have any rights and aren't deserving of any respect as a human being. |

Well, as I posted in another thread, the Bible has been changed thousands of times by scribes, both by accident, and for political reasons. You're gonna have to prove that. Simply saying it doesn't make it true. Most of the original apostles were illeterate, and their teachings weren't even written down for 70-100 years, and then continued changeing. And the slaves that were foreced to work the farms here in this country by law were not allowed to read or be taught to write yet they learned anyhow. As for the rest of your uninformed statement it proves to be flat out wrong. And Im not at all shocked by your statement. Such thoughts as yours are common with people who "think" they are smart when in fact they just pass lies around without checking anything called a fact. Later numerous people wrote in the name of the apositles, hence creating forgeries. And many children think that beef grows on trees, when in fact it come from cattle. Eleven of the books in the Bible are known forgeries. And of course you have no damn idea what the hell you're talking about once again... The Bible contradicts itself in many places, and many of those are not commonly known. Description of Biblical events does not match observation. I know where I can go with it. You have accepted a lie and have made up your mind to pass it on. Thats is exactly where Im going with this..... Thank you for your time in this matter. I hope I have enlightened you? +1,000,000,000 [smile] |

Eleven of the books in the Bible are known forgeries. And of course you have no damn idea what the hell you're talking about once again... BUT, again ID, you are evading the question! Calling someone out on this when you cannot prove otherwise is like saying the moon really is made of cheese! MEN wrote the bible & what, several hundred years after christ was crucified - prove Steve wrong! all the links regarding the bible are what MEN only THINK - THEY cannot prove it! |

Eleven of the books in the Bible are known forgeries. 60 years. And you didn't read the damn links! You should try to at least read the links before you spout off at the mouth!!!!!!!!!! Why am I not suprized by your laziness? just goes to prove your mind was made up before you posted. And such thoughts are called science by people like yourself? [chuckle] |

Or even worse... treat youngsters like they don't have any rights and aren't deserving of any respect as a human being. Exactly. Not very bible enhancing for that particular church either. |

Sirius, while men may have actually put the "pen to paper" for the new Testament a few hundred years after the events, there are parts of the bible that were written down a lot more than 2000 years ago, and have survived in the written form ever since. One thing we, in the Western World, are not used to today is the oral tradition. This is the means by which selected people within a society would be taught the story of that society, and taught in such a way that it was all but impossible for them to alter the "historical" part of the the story, only add to it the "new" stuff. This tradition was an accurate record of events, or at least the sequence of events if not the chronology of events for that society. Ah thank you Rob. Was waiting for someone to bring this into play. Like the story of the Ark & the great flood. Many cultures throughout that period report similar "oral" stories....nothing biblical about it - just the continents moving caused that. Other stories within the bible concern "oral" stories passed along, & again they can be pointed to other means rather than "god at work". |
