I wonder what happened here? ....whilst avoiding knocking the power plug out of the wall outlet and thus avoiding an unplanned outage, the cleaner accidentally sucked up a few wu's that were lying around. It'll be in the dust bag ... ;-) More seriously, I can't recall seeing something like this before! Is (was) it one of yours? |

I wonder what happened here? The WU was finished, the record was purged. From the number I judge it was created April 18 or 19. With an average turnaround around 3 days, many WUs will be finished and assimilated in one or two days. The records are purged a day after that. If your host is still doing a task for that WU or something, none of that should have happened yet. What prompted the question? Joe |

If your host is still doing a task for that WU or something, none of that should have happened yet. What prompted the question? My GPU processed the WU (only a few hundred seconds of run time), all the other GPUs errored out (similar runtimes). Just curious as to why one was able to run it, all the others errored out. If your host is still doing a task for that WU or something, none of that should have happened yet. What prompted the question? If the others were running stock and got -12 errors, it's probably because the optimized GPU app you're running can handle two triplets in the same array and stock can't. Whatever, I assume the WU has been discarded for too many errors and probably was afflicted with RFI so that's not unreasonable. Joe |

Are we not validating much atm? My RAC's not rising much. We had a second round of re-estimation this week, which tends to result in over-fetching and tasks being crunched out of order/returned slowly. That leads to increased pending tasks. But RAC is always a blunt, crude, slow measure for assessing performance. Just keep an eye on the counts of the various categories at the top of your task lists, and the ratio between them? |

I don't really give a rat's petoot what cred I get for a particular WU. It all evens out. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Well panics over, time for rational descision taking is here. As of today all projects on both my rigs are on NNT, my caches will be cleared and I will then disconnect from the projects I have joined. There is no way on my limited resources I can sustain electricity bill on the order of £243 per qtr and continue to sustain my normal activities like eating and paying for accomodation and other utilities.. Something has to give and it has to relate to power usage.. Prior bills were in the order of £113 per qtr... Seems 2 rigs working 24/7 eat a load of juice, too much in fact.. Regards to All, and best wishes.. Cliff, Been there, Done that, Still no damm T shirt! |

Sorry to hear Cliff. Why not just reduce to 12 hours of crunching. Or just 1 rig or what ever. Would be sad to loose you because of bills. Just my penny. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

I have just ordered one of these. It will solve all my electricity problems for the rest of my life: Well if you need more fuel, come to west cumbria and go for a walk down the beach, or visit one of the many nuclear waste dumps that we have, many more are in the pipeline, including the national reserve Who needs windturbines :¬(( By the way Sten, we are down to only 98 AP 5 on the SSP, are you going to be ok . . . . |
