RAC 42,358.32

Last time I take one for the my Team...so much for recruiting members.

Been busy though...I've been hitting 50k a day for a while. Had to put a cooler on my I7 GPU was running 80%. Put Tthrottle on all the machines to make sure I didn't burn them up.

Then I took the GTX 550TI out of the sever, Down graded to a GTS 450 I had laying arround.

Took my Top 200 I7, and plopped in the 550TI, got 2 new Corsair Boxes...big ones with lota fans....One Motherboard put a New I7 on the Motherboard...and put the 560TI and a New Twin 560TI in it...for an attempt at a Top 100 Computer...one slot left.

This is going to get me tied or better with my Team Leader 72,308.30RAC.

Between the 8 new processors in the I7 I should be up 50% in CPU Tasks, and the GTS450 and another 560TI get me a 90% bounce in GPU tasks. All in all he put up 3 more pud wackers. I should get him with this in 2 weeks.

Now I'm going to tear down 5 old Computers and see what, if anything I can get out of there parts...I took down that AMD...it's Done.

Goal is 80,000 RAC by the end of May.

Nice to be back....The New I7 just logged it's first 1000 pts...(11 tasks), with 101 in the Bank (pending). Having problems getting a full task list still, but it will come.....got those servers fooled.

Skip that 1400 pts...burn-in is going good.

Yea you're right....but I didn't name it or found it. I just joined it, for the simple fact if it is our group that discovers E.T., T.V. would be most interesting...but I'm not holding my breath. I just want that guy with now 36 Computers....

Off Topic, does any body have any pull around here, I've been out of GPU tasks on my I7 for 5 hours; I'd like to burn this thing in while it rains and I can't work...ie I just got the box fans figured out on these new Corsair 500R units I've got my I7's in. They throttled back to about 80% after pushing for 5 hours, but I think I've got it all figured out now.

Thanks Server God, got 60 Tasks.....40 some left to do. Is there a reason why they show 3 hours to do, and yet get done in 25 minutes?

Ps...the 36 Computer guy did me by 5500 points today and I was down with both my I7's for 8 hours. I smell it! Boy is going down. But I will pay for that down time tomorrow, for sure.

A little help on my dual 560TI graphics cards..

I'm running Tthrottle, and I'm getting my top card hotter. All the fans on the cards are blowing down.

Heat wants to rise, it's comming back at the top 560TI.

2 front fans are blowing in over the hard drive bay. A 200mm fan blowing in on the GPU's from the service side. The CPU is blowing in.

Is that right? I have couple of more fans, do I want to go out the top, or what?

Any comments or pictures welcome.

I Really like the way that new I7 is ramping up, hit 77,000 points today, which is 22,000 better then I've ever done. Free-DC.

RAC hit 45,600.85, so I decieded to bury that guy ahead of me, and ordered another box, board and goodies for my old I7. I'm gonna move him to an SLI board and let him run with 2 550TIs, instead of the one he got stuck with after my last build, and then mount his OS on a SSD. Should be really responsive as a HTPC, Like click, click, click, click, Media Center, Click Movies, Click TV, click, click, click, click...click...I know it's overkill. But now I can play games easily on my 52" Sony Bravia.

Take the old Motherboard, plop in an I3, gut the old AMD machines hard drive and win7 operating system, thow in a GTS 450, and shoot for a 100,000 RAC on 4 machines. Then with the 2 Dells?...I'll see if i can't get them to do 10,000 RAC, and see if I can find anymore around here to part out. ie I found one in the basement XP Pro, and one in the Garage XP Pro x64. Those operating systems ought to be worth something...all in all...his days are numbered as RAC leader.

Wawasoo.

For WIW, the new I7 ran 5 hours without GPU tasks, and was down from 3:00am to 10:00am Windows shut it down for updates. But it's buzzing now.

I just noticed that my Team Leader #97th ranked in Seti on RAC is running dead even with me on points today since Free-dc updated us this afternoon.

We're even, to just above to just below, and My new I7 has banked 347 tasks in pending...which is about 1/2 of my other older I7......When the slower computers confirm...my Score Jacks. He's busted....at this moment.

Take your 36 work computers...I got you with 3, and I'm gonna flame you out with 4.

It's Just a matter of time.

Yea, and today ain't going like yesterday....the update will install when I say so.....until it's fully up to snuff...ie it still want's to go to SP1, and it aint happening till tomorrow, not at 3:00am and hang up my processing for 7 hours. Download it, list it, then we'll do it in 10 minutes not 7 hours.

You realize that if your teammate starts using the opt apps they should easily generate over 100k a day. They have a similar list of machines to mine except they have a few more. I was generating 98k-105k until I turned a few off for the summer.

Thought did occur to me...however I don't think he will, and If he did..not too worried my new I7 is running a straight line just hitting 72,000 on Free-DC Today, 30,000 PTS Today, 23,000 thrusday, 13,000 wednesday, 6,000 tuesday. Just launched another today, running it against my server which is and I3 with the same cards in it to see how much the Card is doing VS the BOX. Most of the time this week I have been taking out my Non-SLI boards and building New Computers in Corsair cases with non-stock CpU fans and such, And getting those I7 on multi GPU boards.

I should get 100,000k a day out of these 4 machines....I'm just waiting to see what an I7 does with 2 560TI vs 1 in a month. Last month my I7 got 500,000 with one GPU on a non sli boards. This month he has 2, and next month maybe 3.

I just switched him out of his old board an stuck an I3 in it for my Wife at work. It's easier to just do that then 2 fresh installs. Besides I'm getting the data it has on the network here at home, and making it fresh to work. That one is going, and the E4400 to work a day land along, with another E4400, that I'll Fire up for Seti---I only have 4 here at the house, plus the Server that I can run at once with out have a computers everwhere.

Down at work she has a 2003 server, this new I3, the 2 E4400's and an old one I use to use back 6-7 years ago...that I just fired back up.

So by next week I'll have my home network, against my business network. I'll probably rebuild my server down there first, I looked at it an it had an 80gig harddrive in it???? The I3 she's taking from home as 1.5T

So, I guess what that all means...I'm not done at 100,000 a day. I just want to see if I can get it out of the 2 I7's, & 2 I3's.

It's been raining here and it gives me something to do.

It's not just this, it's that.....

They guys days are numbered.....

I just run into fair access policy for the 3rd time in 3 years with WildBlue. I get 17 Gig a month, with all the update and reinstalls this week, I busted that.......297 updates 1.4 gigs by 5 machines.

Called Huges Tonight they are comming Sunday morning, and install their system which will give me unlimited between 2:00am and 7:00am, at least that's the deal I got. ie....most of my tasks that show pending, aint even downloaded yet, and the computs' ain't doing nothing....and I'm gonna still beat him, there is 1,000 on the day, and I've got everything tied behind my back right now, and I'll still cream him.

Got him again.....Got one I3 out of here and unto a DSL connection down at work, he's a happy camper. HughesNet didn't come, won't be here till Thursday, I can't get task fast enough to keep a full load on the New I7 with 2 560TI's in it. Have 2 E440's set up on the DSL tomorrow nite, Late at the office they ought to be good for 6k combined. Grabed my old dinosaur, sitting on the floor behind me now, doesn't matter if that's hooked up or not.

With the 2 million credits they did in the past 28 days vs your 1.3 million you are going to have to really work to overtake their 18 million they already have banked up. Just so you know I am messing about with you & not trying to discourage you or anything. :P

The internet caps are annoying. I am limited to 250GB/month on my home account. Although Seti@Home traffic doesn't account for that much really. I just ran a report on my ISA server at work. Starting from January 1st until yesterday. The total for all traffic going to & from Berkeley is only 15.2GB. Which included the data transfer of the project & the traffic from the website/forums.

You have to have a DSL, where I live no Power Poles at all back to my house 1/2 mile, all my utilities are underground. I'm about a mile off from the closest Cable line so I'm screwed to a Sat. Service. Actually it wasn't the Seti@home that got me it was the downloads from Microsoft, McAfee, that got me as I was bringing up new Machines. The reason why I'm switching from Wildblue to HugesNet is the fact that I get unlimited, between 2:00am and 7:00am...it doesn't count towards the total. My actual total rolling 30 day usage is going down now, but still I'm lame when it comes to speed because I'm over. I turned them all on though to get what they can before tomorrows down time....I'm geting dail-up speeds but the tank is filling back up.

Now as for team leader...about a thousand years, and I'll have him. Interesting though, at months end his numbers were 2 Million and mine was one, so in 6 days...I picked up 300,000 on him in the 28 day count since the 1st. I'm on a hell of an up ramp.

I had issues with the second I7 Board, the Memory bank was bad....Can only get one stick in DIMM(1). New one is one the way, and I'm gonna tackle that server down to the shop...I might have him on the 28 day numbers by the end of the month if not before. ie...I'm running an I7 on a defective SLI board, one Banked, one GPU, on a Sat. broad band I could beat with telephone dial up.

Don't you just love the UnderDog?

Got him again by 20%, and closed that 28 day Gap by nearly 100K day over day, today.

I see that other Fellow, Lycius, on our Team is getting his I series Cores, bored out by Lunatics. From 13K, to 26k, to 35K, better watch my Back.

Need to get that I7 on a good board, 2nd day Air(for free), both, my I3's are ramping up on him big time. Other then just looking for Aliens, this is a good way to benchmark a new build, and confirm it. That I7 is on crutches, at a one legged butt kicking contest. First bad motherboard ever, so I can't blame the manufacturer...it just happen in electronics, it either works, or it don't.
