Anybody have an idea why my WHS is still processing Cuda Fermi instead of Anonymous platform (NVIDIA GPU)?

I've installed it on all my machines the last few days and I think that I've got them running almost correctly....RAC 18,676.05

Mine still shows (cuda_fermi) in the application column; this is OK.

Near the top of your event log (Advanced->Event Log) you should see "Found app_info.xml; using anonymous platform" If it's there, you're using it. If anything was missing from it you'd see error notifications under Notices so if you're not getting those it's being used.

Also check Task Manager (right click the taskbar) Processes tab and see what's running. I have 4 instances of AK_v8b_SSE_p3.exe and a Lunatics_x41g_win32_cuda32.exe which tells me it's being used. Sort by CPU usage by clicking the CPU column heading and they'll all sort together.

Your server shows what app was used at the time the files were requested/downloaded. So even if you move tasks between your CPU & GPU with a reschedule tool. The server will continue to show the app version.
A few moment ago this looks to be the first task assigned to your GPU since switching apps.

The easiest way to tell which app your are sunning is to look at task manager & see if Lunatics_x41g_win32_cuda32.exe is running or not.

Speaking of a reschedule tool, why are tasks with a deadline of 6/2012...running before 4/2012 tasks?

Get an answer to that one and I almost have this figured out. I think I got my last erroring problem solved. The GT240 card was trowing off 5 errors ever update. Looked at power options, and the machine was set to shut off the monitor after 15 minutes....the Monitor is a 52" Sony Bravia hooked up on an HDMI connection. Disabled that. Then looked at advanced power options on the PCI buss, it like all the rest of my machines was set to moderate power savings.

I changed that to off....ie no power savings. Working fine now. It must just need the full power, as it gets it from the Mainboard not a seperate line from the PSU. At least that's what I think...cause it works fine now. RAC 22,054.50

P.S. This Idiot is not done asking questions.

Recently there were a lot of shortie tasks sent out. They have a deadline of about 2 weeks instead of the normal 6 or 8 weeks. BOINC normally operates on a First In First Out process. So the older tasks with a longer deadline will be done first. Unless something causes the scheduling process in BOINC to switch to High Priority mode & process the tasks with shorter/nearer deadlines first.

Your ATI host is throwing errors. I _think_ your GPU is not in the range that can be used. (i.e. doesn't have OpenCL support)

Can one of the ATI gurus please doublecheck?

AP is fine but that's running the Brook version.

Wawasoo, all your rigs are on anonymous platform. in the Boinc Manager (version 7.0.25) you can see that by the 'Local:' before the app name in the application column (advanced view).

It was, but hasn't since the 13th. Friday the 13th. It helps if you set it up as AMD and not an Intel. Like I said I'm an Idiot.....and I'm on an adventure.

He has incorrectly installed the GPU Multibeam app for ATI. the 2XXX series is not capable of running the MB app. You can run the hybrid app Astropulse app which will use the GPU and CPU but don't expect the Wu to be completed very fast. The 2XXX series is pretty old and you may just blow it up from excess heat. I know I did.

Now the only problems I have now is Thunderstorms, that keep knocking out the power.

My I7 was down for 9hours while I slept. And its was in the middle of 7 AstroPluse WUs that should have been done 4 hours ago. I just dailed it up, to get them all done in the next 4 hours. It's hammering now... RAC 22,098.27

I'll check the smoke dectors in the house to make sure they are still working, on that one the operating system is worth more then the machine...I'd consider that a blessing...and a chance to put a new one up.

Glad you got that sorted yourself. And you are not an idiot. Idiots either don't ask questions or they don't listen to the advice they get. Somebody who does both is not an idiot, he's merely inexperienced. When you are willing to learn, you're not an idiot. Idiots don't learn.

Got 6 out of 7 of those Astropulses done in 4 hours. Coulda been my best day ever for points. If you consider that I have been at this off and on since 1999, that's saying alot....as they have all come the last 2 weeks.

This is fun...as fun as it was when I first ran this thing, but these enhanced apps...they are worth tinkering with. Just look at what that ole Dell OptiPlex 960 is doing with these enhanced apps.

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/host_app_versions.php?hostid=6595149

It had a RAC of 950 before I started lunatics on it. Most of it's errors came from chucking all the Cuda and Cuda32 WU it was running at 59 & 63. For Cuda-Fermi WUs and is running them @ 127.00. The base units are running 2.6 times faster...if I'm reading this all correctly. It's doubled it's RAC in 36 hours.

PS...If it ain't the best day, it's because I had my I7 out for 9 hours with 9 processors out of 18 down. Watch where were're going here.

Says 181 hours 46 minutes and xoxo seconds. That's a week..bet you a dollar it's done tomorrow.

Still got my best day with 1/2 my system down for 9 hours...by 100 points. FWIW.

I turned 42,779 (free-dc) vs yesterdays previous daily high of 42,605. To some of you that ain't much until you consider I did 330 points in 4 years from 2005 to 2009. So to me it's an accomplishment. But I want the leader in our group that is running 70,000 RAC on 35 machines. I'm patient, been here for 13 years gonna put up one, Yup one, to take him down...added to what I got.

I'm gonna get him....I'm on a mission from God.

Nope hold on I got 3 more tasks sent to me on High Priority for 5/11/2012.

and got a hunderd for 4/29/2012. Suspended by me. I'm not gonna spend all day doing meta-pause at the last minute. When the other party ain't even participating. I done my 30 the last 2 days, and the guys 17 or so on Lunatics, the guys on the other end are getting screwed on points, so am I cause the whent in as the Un Lunatics Platform.

Yea, one CPU 12 hours 300-400 points, the other side....did it without Lunatics, spent a day...and got screwed because I Jumped platform and did it in less then half the time.

IE; Look at the records on my I7, I cut my time in half, points too. That shouldn't be, at least for the other guy, we both got screwed.

But I don't care for me....the other guys will have to spend a day for every one I put out...like 27..days.

Who's counting....I'm going to 500,000 RAC 23,184.67
